"Zoombinis", I get a real kick out of this. It's a

"8 yr old loves i", My 8-year-old daughter loves this. And I like it, too, because it is teaching her some logical reasoning in an entertaining setting.

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of two small flaws:
- you can't stop the game and save it at each level, you have
to get through a few. This makes it harder to have her stop
when it is time to go to bed / go to school / etc. For the parent's
sake, please make games easy to save at any point.
- getting all the zombini's forward is a bit repetitive. On the plus
side, though, this does make sure she really learns the lessons and
becomes adept at solving the logical puzzles.

"I will give it zero if possible.", This is the worst software I've ever used. Unfortunately, I bought it for my children. It claims compatible to Windows XP, but it doesn't say it wasn't developed for XP. Basically, the software is not stable, it keeps giving error such as
"Zoombinis Logical Journey.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

It only supports low resolution (640 x 480) monitor. So if you have big, high resolution monitor, it shows a few inches little square on your big monitor.

It doesn't have technical support on the phone, only through a website, you need to login and type in all kind of issues yourself. Then you need to wait technical support to reply your trouble ticket.

I am an IT professional, but I can't "support" this software for my children, with the company's technical support.

The software just crashed AGAIN a moment ago.

"New MacOS installation software in 2005 version", My five year old grandson and I have had a wonderful time playing with this game. We learned a lot about logic, and we learned that we have different learning styles.

The 2005 version which I got from Amazon (see separate listing) has a Mac OS X installer which installed this game flawlessly in less than a minute. I have no experience with the 2001 version.

"What a disappointed product!", I wish I have read these 1 star comments before I purchase this CD. I received 2001 version (have they ever updated?). It doesn't work on my 2004 (XP) computer. After installing, I click "play", it ruined my computer setting and disappeared. I tried to uninstall and install again, nothing changes. I have to return the CD. It is really disappointed experience.

"My son loves this", I got this for my 8yr old son, he loves it. he said its a little bit hard but would play all day if i let him. There are printables that he likes. I have Vista so i had to install with compatibility wizard.

"Zoombinis", This product stopped working on our computer? We got to play it a few times but jams and doesn't let us click on things? Very frustrating.

"It stays with you forever", My parents bought this game for us kids for Christmas. I was 10 then and still remember it like it was yesterday. With all the Technology kids have these days, the only game I want my kids playing on the computer is Zoombinis. It is so fun and you don't even know you are memorizing and learning. The ages say 8 and up, but my 5 year old loves it. My 2 year old loves the music and colorful activities. This is a must have game and will stick with you forever.

"Bummer", Other reviewers warned this game might not be compatible with my newer PC. However the description and the packaging plainly state it is compatible for Windows XP. After installing the game, when we clicked on it to start, my computer froze and I had to re-boot. I must have installed and un-installed this game 5 times not to mention all the times I had to totally shut down the system. I've finally given up. Very disappointed. I bought this for my granddaughter and had hoped that it would help improve her math skills.

"Not able to install", The manufacturer evidently doesn't offer support for this product, and the company that they referred us to is hard to reach / get help from.
