"Wireless-G", This is my second Linksys WMP54G. The first one works great, so why not stick with something you trust?
Easy installation,fairly user friendly software. The router is one floor, and two walls away, and the lowest connect speed has been 86%, but that is rare. I can expect mid 90s to 100%.
The only down side I have seen is that the location of the antenna is usually in the way of some other installed device hookup ... but that is easy to cope with, it swivels. A remote antenna would solve the problem easily.
I found Amazon's price on this unit was excellent after a bit of comparative shopping.
Buy one they work.

"Works Perfectly", I've used a couple of generic wireless cards and found them troublesome, with sporadic difficulty connecting to my wireless hub. This Linksys card has worked perfectly, first time and every time. I recommend it.

"Worked out of the box on a linux system", Installed in a desktop PC running Ubuntu 8.10 without a problem. Simply installed and turned the power on. Runs at full G link speed with WAP security. This is the way things should work. However, do miss days past when tinkering was required to get things to work.

"awesome", right out of the box, installed it in my system. I never bothered using the drivers that came along with it and used the one on the website. Works well and have been using for 2 weeks.

"Easy Install!", I received this adapter for my extra desktop and easily installed the card and had it working within 10 minutes.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Not what is pictured", This product should not be under a picture of a wireless card that has an anntenae. Even though the description says no anntenae, it is misleading. And since you cannot purchase just an anntenae, it is essentially a paper weight.

"Works great on Windows 98 PC", Despite several reviewers (on Amazon and other sites) asserting that this adapter would not work with Windows 98SE, in my case, it works flawlessly. I installed the driver /software, inserted the card to a PSI slot, and it detected and connected to the wireless network instantly with no further ado. It's been a week and the Internet connection hasn't dropped once. The router is also a Linksys (WRT54) and it, too, has been performing for over a year with no problem. No need to contact the dreaded tech support on this one. Whew!

"Works ok for me", I purchased a WMP54G for my parents computer to avoid running cable through their house. The first one worked well for about a year when it suddenly received no signal - acted like the antenna connection was bad - possibly due to rearrangement of cords, etc. behind the computer. A replacement card has worked flawlessly ever since from a second story office to wireless router in the basement.

"Has Never Failed Me", A few months ago, I purchased two Linksys products: a wireless Internet router, and this wireless-G PCI adapter. The router was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned, but this adapter has worked perfectly. The installation is simple and it never drops a connection. I even switched to a D-Link router and this product continues to work, putting to rest any compatibility issues I was worried about.

I highly-recommend this router for use with any wireless-G products...just stay away from the router of the same brand!

"A Clinic in Self-Immolation", I've set up 3 Linksys wireless adapters now -- two of these and one Linksys WPC54GS Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with SpeedBooster to work with my Linksys WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster. The first one of these and the Notebook Adapter had serious issues in handshaking with the router and required significant time on the phone with Linksys to set up, and I'm still not completely happy with their functionality.

Surprisingly, this second WMP54G that I installed had no issues whatsoever, and setup was a breeze. Too bad it only lasted 3 weeks before "frying" itself.

Am waiting now on a replacement from Linksys.
