"Great game for preschoolers"
My three year old daughter LOVES this game. After playing it with her once, she can now manage to play it by herself. She feels very proud of herself, and has moved on to the next level already.

"Excelent Game! Keeps kids interested for a long time."
I bought this game for my friend's three-year-old daughter. I wasn't sure if she would be interested or even able to play the game, having no previous computer skills. She is of slightly above average intelligence for a three year old, but had absolutely no mouse skills whatsoever.
I had to test out the game for myself when it came in. It only took me about 1/2 hour to finish it myself (on the easy level), but it was fun. So, I took it over to my friends house and installed it on their computer (old Windows 98 PC). It ran really well on their old computer.
I sat the three-year-old down and the computer and she began to play. In the beginning, I had to set everything up for her. She couldn't run the game on her own, or get it set up for her-self. Also, she needed a lot of help with the mouse in the beginning. She seemed to like the game a lot though. The only problem was that she couldn't play on her own. A few weeks went by and every time I came over, she wanted me to play the game with her. Her mother won't play video games with her. It eventually got to the point where she wanted to play every day. So I showed her how to get into the game all by herself and type in her name and choose the difficulty level.
It's been about a month now since she first played the game and she is completely independent. As long as the computer is on, she can open the game for herself, set it up, and play it without any adult interaction. She knows how to print, how to exit the game, and can complete almost any of part of the game on her own (the swimming part is still hard for her). I think that she likes this game even more every time that she plays it. In addition to keeping her interest in the game, she is learning a lot too. This game has definitely helped her educationally. The memory game is her favorite (and she's gotten really good at it), followed by the puzzle game and the part where you put the food back on the shelves. I was thinking about getting her another game soon, but I know if any other game will compare to this one.
There are four minor things about this game that I don't like. 1) The swimming part of the game is more difficult than the other parts. This may not really be a bad thing. I will teach her better mouse skills eventually. She is already getting better at it. It's just a little bit frustrating sometimes. 2) This is not so much a problem with the game itself, but with children using a computer in general. The game allows you to use either button to click, which is good because little kids don't know the difference between right and left click. However, being that her hand is so small and won't fit over the entire mouse, her clicking finger seems to rest naturally over the right button (I've seen this with other kids too). I would like her to learn to use the mouse correctly, so I think I will buy her one of those child mice. They're smaller and fit a child's hand better. 3) This may really not be that important, however I just wanted to point out that Clifford doesn't look both ways before crossing the street. We both noticed. 4) When you do get to the end of the game, it never says "The End", you just keep playing (I'm talking about the Birthday Party screen). The first time I finished it, I wasn't sure if I had finished it or not. Also, once you get to the Birthday Party screen, I don't think you can go back and repeat the activities. I think that you have to start a new game.
In summary: Excellent Game. I like it, and she loves it. I can't say enough good things about it. Overall, the four problems that I did have with the game aren't really of major importance. This game is fun and educational, and it's kept her interest for a month now. Not bad for $8.13 including sipping. I'm very impressed, and would definitely try more products from Scholastic. I hope this helped.

"Autistic Kid Loves It"
My daughter, who is 7 years old and has high-functioning autism, really loves this game. She's had it running on our computer every day, for hours, since we got it for her a week ago.

She is afraid of real dogs in real life, but for some reason she really loves playing with Clifford in this game.

"LOVE it!"
This is the best of the games I've recently purchased for my 4 year old. It's an adventure game in which the player must search various locations for specific items, people or tasks. Within most locations, there are little games the child must play to find the item in question.

The thing I really like about this game compared to some others: There are only a handful of locations and there is a map the child can access at any time to jump to the desired location. This makes game play soooooo much faster. As soon as I got the package open, my son took off with it and required no intervention from me to complete the game. He really enjoys playing it even now that he knows all of the "answers".

"Clifford entertains!"
My 4 & 5 year old daughters have been playing this one for a year now. It has never hit the bottom of the CD game pile! It is fun, while it teaches - which is the best part! You search for 4 jewels while you try to get things done for Clifford's party. There are games along the way as well as thinking adventures. One game involves sorting grocery items into their correct places on the shelves - which helps teach counting and spatial skills. There are plenty of activities to keep your child busy, and teach them something too! I highly recommend this one! Who doesn't love Clifford! "Woof!"

What our customer's say!

"This is NOT Mac OS X compatible", We bought this based off the reviews and the software description. However, this is NOT, I repeat NOT, OS X compatible. The packaging and description are very deceptive. I went to the MAC store with the CD and they told me that it's six generations old and completely obsolete!!!! Do NOT buy this if you plan on using it w/ your MAC. Still waiting to hear about my refund from NothingButSoftware.

"Great educational CD-rom", My son loves these CD-roms. He is almost 5 and plays them a lot. He is learning quite a bit. Plus, there are 3 different levels, so as he gets better, he gets more challenged. I'm impressed with this.

"So Worth It!", My almost 5-year old has been playing with this game for over a year. She asks us to play it at least once a week.

"Does not work on Mac", This is an old game, does not work well on XP and will not load at all on my new powerbook MAC as it has an Intel chip. I wasted my money and my daughter is upset...beware.

"Kids love Clifford", It took a bit to receive my order but the kids do love it. My 2-1/2 yr. old, 5-1/2 yr. old and 7 yr. old love to play it. We first found out about it through our public library. It has three levels of play. Good graphics.

"Play, play, and play again", My three year old daughter loves to play this game over and over again. She plays by herself now, only needing help the first couple of times she played. It has a lot of activities to keep her busy and she has a blast playing. It's definitely one of the best computer games she has.

"Watch your child learn", Our son started playing this game when he was three and loved every minute of it. The game "teaches" logic and computer skills in the context of a story rather than with the curriculum of games like Reader Rabbit and Jump Start (nothing against those products, this is just different). Even though he has finished the game many times and understands the order in which you need to do things, our son likes to play the game over and over. I particularly liked a sorting game that requires the child to clean up the grocery shelves and put matching items on the shelf that has the correct number of spaces. We have given this game as a gift and would do so again.

"Good for hours and hours", This is a little-kid adventure game which is similar in nature to big-people adventure games like Myst, but obviously much more simplified.
My 3 year old daughter loves this game. She needed some help when she first started playing, but now she can go to the computer, start the program, and play all by herself. She has solved the adventure many times and she still has fun with it. We have gotten many hours of enjoyment out of this game.
