"Lil' Lightning is the BEST!"
I love that movie, is funny and very very cute.

Commonly, the secquels of Disney sucks, but this one is not a pretencious one, and is very funny and amusing.

The best character in the movie, for me, is one of the "bad guys", Lil' Lightning, a cute and adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgi. It's mean, but when you see the movie, you can understand him.

Well, see it, you'll probably likes. Is very funny and cute :)

"A cool movie!"
It's really good, because Patch is so cute, and all the puppies are so cute and I love it when Patch asks Rolly:

"Ready Rolly?"
And Rolly says:

"Huh? No. No, no no no no no no no...WHOOOOOAAAAA!!!! (bounces on trampoline) WHOAAAAAAAA PAAAAATCCHHH!!!!

It's one of my favourite scenes and the other one in which Nanny calls:

"Dinner time!"
And the puppies go:

"Huh? Cool! Wow! Dinnertime!"
Perdy goes:

"Oh dear."
And then Patch goes:

"Oh, no...not again...WHOO!!!" (he gets pushed up by the puppies)
What I'm trying to say it's a good movie, but I think that the first was the best.

"Lil Lightning is the best!"
Actually, I enjoyed the movie. I still don't think Jodi Benson should have played the role as Anita though. Her voice always reminds me of Ariel and it wouldn't be the same if she did other character voices.

Anyway, it's more than obvious that Lil Lightning is my absolute favorite (since my major obsession in corgis). I felt bad for him. They made him such a bad guy only because he didn't get the attention like Thunderbolt. So no wonder he was jealous!! He was pretty self-centered, but I give him credit anyway. I also liked Lars. He was so mellow and stuff.

Pretty much, the movie was good (I still liked the first one better).

"Who Let The Dogs Out Again?"
This is one of the better Disney sequels, and Thunderbolt and Lil Lightning is stealing the show!
I thought that this will be another typical animation sequel, but I got surprised, and it doesn't get overwhelmed by CGI.

"Original is better"
You just can't beat the original. The original flowed, this one doesn't. In the original Pongo was a dad that was looked up to and he was a hero, in this one Pongo is a dad looked down on . Thunderbolt has to "find himself", with all the emotional conflict of whether or not he wants to be a real hero or not is too much for a kid to enjoy, much less the adult having to watch this nonsense. Stick to the original.

"Awesome! Perhaps better than the original!!", Wow! Never thought I'd see a Disney sequel that I enjoyed more than the original! After seeing all the garbage that followed the real classics like "The Rescuers Down Under", "Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" or "The Return of Jafar", it's surprising to come across this jewel among Disney sequels!

It features a unique and inovative plot, something rare in a sequel, but what impressed me the most was that it seemed that the film makers tried hard this time, by making the film seem like the original, with the rough-drawn backgrounds and rough animation. It was an attempt to make a decent and likeable follow up without trying to copy the whole thing (Not like "the Rescuers II" in which not only they tried to turn the whole original into a comedy, but also completely ripped-off the original's storyline, that wasn't the case here.)

So, if you enjoyed 101 Dalmatians, you'll probably enjoy this one just as much, I enjoyed it even more!

"Much Better than expected", I expected this movie to be a lame sequel, since I really hadn't heard anything about it. But I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it made me nostalgic about the original which was my favorite movie growing up. I really felt for Patch, who had to deal with being not one of a kind as he liked, but 1 of 101, which is clearly intense competition. He gets himself seperated from the rest of his family and into cahoots with Thunderbird, the "wonder-dog" from his favorite TV show. They both have to find the true hero within and once again save the puppies from the clutches of madwoman Cruella Devil. The original characters all come back, from Pongo and Perdita, Roger and Anita, Cruella and her goons, the feisty nanny and of course the puppies. The new characters blend in perfectly; Lars the artist who paints spots and is quickly discovered by Cruella, and the dogs from the Thunderbird show. The animation was done in a similar fashion as the original, which made it seem more closely linked. In general an enjoyable movie and a stronger urge to own a dalmatian myself. :)

"StoryMaker's 101 Dalmatians 2 review", NOTE: We watched the VHS, not the DVD, but I couldn't find the VHS version on Amazon.com. ANYWAYS: 101 Dalmatians 2 is nice, but not as good as original movie. We do not own Patch's London Adventure, but we sometimes borrow from friends. The plot: Patch wants to be 1-of-a-kind, not 1-of-a-101, just like his TV hero, Thunderbolt, who has a sidekick: Little Lightning. The rest of the family moves, but Patch goes with Thunderbolt. Cruella De Vil has her same idea. Why knocking off 2 stars? Lighning turns jelous, and ends up a bad guy. It's the Thunderbolt-loving female dogs fault, admiring Thunderbolt and rudley saying "We don't mean YOU!" to Lightning. And, there is a mistake I noticed by reading another review: Pongo counts 101 puppies, but Pongo and Perdy are one of the 101. They should say 99. Signed, StoryMaker. "Gotta trust the kid's review!"

"A Good Movie", I really like this movie even though it's not like the original. I think that's a good thing because we get to see what actually happened after the couple bought their "Dalmatian Plantation." Even though it's a good movie, I don't think that it's as good as the original movie.

"Great sequel.", I like this particular Disney sequel a lot--and that's not a commonly stated thing. Lars and Little Lightning are easily two of the best newer Disney characters. And the entire film is well-made and enjoyable. However, my one issue with the movie is that Lightning the pembroke corgi is made out, just a little bit, to be a sort of 'bad guy.' He isn't in the least. He didn't start out as a treacherous little dog looking to outshine the 'hero,' Thunderbolt. Au contraire, he spent a lot of time just trying to make the best of being in that ham's shadow. Lightning was a great dog, from the beginning and through to the end. Is it any wonder that at one point he would try to take the TV show for himself? After being treated as an underdog, a mere sidekick, receiving no attention, having to watch the girls swoon over Thunderbolt and shun him? Hardly. Yet this means the movie is successful in creating a character inspiring sympathy. So bravo, Disney; if you could turn out a few more sequels on this level it would be a whole lot nicer!

"A perfect surprise!!!", In the past, Disney has produced some... let's say less-than-perfect sequels. They were lousy, horrid, and much disliked, until...

YES!!! Even though this movie shares the same storyline as Lady and the Tramp II, this sequel actually represents the storyline correctly. It also does something that no other sequel has done, it accurately imitates the look and feel of the original. The only thing I missed was the Cruella de Vil song. They should've had it.

If you hadn't already guessed it, the storyline is that Patch, one of the 99 dalmatian puppies, feels like one of many puppies, and he wants to be a one-of-a-kind wonderdog like his TV hero, Thunderbolt. (C'mon, who didn't want to be Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, or Annie Oakley when they were kids?) Anyway, it's Patch's dream to go and meet his superhero, Thunderbolt, who just so happened to be coming to London.

Anyway, Roger and Anita Radcliff have wanted to move to a bigger place, because the number of dalmatians is overwhelming for the small house they live in. During the move, Patch gets left behind accidentally. Confused and alone, Patch then seeks his hero.

Meanwhile, Cruella discovers an artist who's artwork consist of, yes, spots. She also bails out Jasper and Horace (who were terrified to be under Cruella's command again) to snatch the puppies away.

One more thing. My favorite character is Little Lightning. In the story, you'll see that Thunderbolt is a bit, ahem, stuck on himself. He has a real ego trip. Little Lightning, who is jealous of living in Thunderbolt's shadow and is constantly ignored by Thunderbolt, plots a way to get rid of Thunderbolt and make himself the star. I feel sorry for him.

Anyway, the only problem I found with this sequel was that Pongo always counted the puppies as 101, but at the end of the movie, 99 puppies were mentioned. HA HA HA HA HA!!! I guess that there will never really be a truly perfect Disney cartoon sequel, but this certainly came as close to perfection as possible.

"decent animated sequel to the 1961 Disney classic", Set immediately after the ending of the original 1961 film, Patch's London Adventure begins as Roger and his wife, Nanny and 101 dalmatians are moving out to their "dalmatian plantation". Unfortunately in all the excitement Patch has been left behind, so he begins to make his way across London when he meets his hero, Thunderbolt. At the same time, Cruella has fallen off the fur coat wagon, broken Jasper and Horace out of jail, teamed up with an abstract painter and begun looking for the puppies.

The action here is more muddled than in the original. Also, a lot of favorite characters are ignored or missing; for instance, when Roger finds out Patch is not at the farm, he and Anita, Pongo and Perdita take off in a car to find him, but we don't see them again until the last scene. Neither do we see hide nor hair of the Great London Barking Chain and its charming denizens such as The Colonel and Sgt. Tibbs.

DVD features include a trivia game, an interactive look inside Thunderbolt's trailer, a 7-minute making-of featurette, two music videos and 7 trailers. Audio is in English or French, and subtitles are available only in English.

Because the placement of the live-action sequel starring Glenn Close takes place after these events, it might be fun and less confusing to watch the original and then this one as a double feature.

"kids didn't watch it much", Given the choice, the kids preferred the original.

"Sequel Surprise", When I first saw the previews for this, I groaned. I was totally thinking it would be a huge flop and a silly movie, then I watched it. It was very cute! It had a heart warming storyline, our favorite familiar characters, and even some new ones to liven up the story. I was so excited even though he is a bad guy that Disney put a Welsh Corgi in this movie because they are my most favorite dog. The only thing I have to say about this movie that's negative is that I miss Mr. Tibbs from the first movie.

"Surprising sequel.....", My daughter recieved this as a Valentine's gift and she loves it.
I was dissapointed to find that Cruella de Vil still smokes in this sequel. With all the anti-smoking campaigns now I would have thought that Disney would have made this important change in their villian.

Found this to be very similar to Lady and the Tramp II: Scamps Adventure. Same story line different characters.

Unless you absolutely have to have this for your Disney Video collection I would rent it first before purchasing it.
