"Games"
Got this for my 6 year old grandson, since he was always taking his older brother's gameboy. Got him a Gameboy from Amazon (used) also, so he was all set to go and the big brother did not have to worry about his "stuff". Now they are both happy and can switch games when they want.

"2 for 1, 1 for 2"
A great classic game plus a multi-player Zelda in addition. Who can turn up their nose to that?

"An Epic and Beautiful Masterpiece"
(Note:This is a review only on A Link to the Past)I got this game a long time ago.I had recently completed Link's Awakening and wanted more.Let me tell you I got more than I ever wanted. The story centers on Link who is woken up one night by a telepathic plea for help from Princess Zelda. He steps out of his home and begins a quest that will lead him through dark dungeons, high mountains, and a corrupt Dark World. He will also find hidden treasures, and face the personifacation of evil Ganon. The graphics are great (especially since the game was released in 1992)And the weapons are cool. The score is beautiful and the monsters are tough to beat(especially the two headed dragon in the next to final boss.)It has it's flaws such as too little story and too few sidequests.Overall the entire game is awesome, easily surpassing The Wind Waker and equalling the Ocarina of Time.

"I have some fond memories of this game."
It is great to be able to play this game on a portable, handheld system. I am a college student; usually, to pass the time between classes, I pull out my Nintendo DS Lite and play some classic Nintendo games; as of late, the most frequently played game that I own is this one. I have all four of the Super Mario Bros. Advance games and, trust me, I have given them their fair share of play. This game is a basic revamp of the old SNES version. In my opinion, it is equally good as the one that came out in the early nineties. I have some fond memories of that old game for the SNES; I remember back to 1998, when I completed it in less than forty-eight hours and thinking that I really accomplished something. I have noticed that some people have given some negative feedback to the new noises that Link makes; personally, I think that they are bearable; the more I play, the more that I get used to them. The additional multiplayer game, Four Swords, is great, too. I own that game for Nintendo Gamecube and I have played it a lot on that system, but not really on my Nintendo DS; personally, I think it is better on the Gamecube, but of course it is fun to be able to play it on a portable system. What more can I say? This game doesn't disappoint. It is a must have.

"Its a 5 for its accuracy"
This is a faithful reproduction of the original Zelda for NES. I'm glad that the people at Nintendo understnad there's a demand for these old games. At the same time though, I was afraid that they'd go around and 'update' them, which we all know is just another way of saying 'ruining' a good thing.

If this game came out today I'd give it a two. I give it a five though, because of how great it was in the 80s and because its essentially unchanged in this new release for GBA.

What our customer's say!

"Married a Zelda fan", Bought this for my husband ...a big Zelda fan. He has played it multiple time and now has our oldest child into playing as well. If you have been a fan of previous Zelda games you will be a fan of this as well.

"Zelda always rocks", What can I say? You either like Zelda or you don't. I think it's continuing saga is amazing and fun to be part of.

"The best video game of all time", Yeah, I know that title may be pretty grand for this old 16-bit video game, but for a fantasy/adventure lover like me, it just don't get better than this. Inspite of all the video games I've played with all their flashy 3-D graphics and extremely complex gameplay, if I had to honestly choose one video game to be crowned king, this would be the one. It just represents every young man (or boy's) longing for adventure and excitement, a quest/purpose, to fight unimaginable monsters/evil, to save the beautiful damsel and in the process, the world.
The story's simple yet engaging, the music classical and priceless, the graphics old-school and simple yet detailed and dazzling. This video game entralled me as a boy, and though I know now where most of the secrets are, I'm still in love with it. You get to trek a huge world with a wonderful helpful map to find where you want to go; the monsters are cool and widely varied and you have to figure out each one's weak spot; you get so many different weapons and powers, with the master sword being the most sought after; the dungeons are loads of fun and very addictive.
This is my absolute favorite of the Zelda series and grips me the most out of them all.

"great game", This Zelda game back in the early 90s made up for the 2nd game being a piece of crap. The world map is big with a light and dark world map making the game twice as big. There lots of new items like the pegasis boots for running, the master sword, and the mirror for switching to new worlds. If you did like the origonal game you will love this one. So I say you should check this game out. There is a 2nd game on this besides A Link to the past, The 4 swords. I havent played it since you need 4 friends with the game, but buying it for just A Link to the Past is still not a waste.

"Surprisingly fun", Some parts of the game are surprisingly tricky and oftentimes frustrating. I needed online help since I'm usually lousy at finding things. However, it's still a fun game that I had trouble putting down. There were many opportunities to interact with the environment, which increased as I found more tools. I picked up rocks, cut down signs, ran into trees to release their contents, dug holes in the ground to look for treasure, I pulled levers and dragged statues, and I even made myself invisible. My biggest annoyance was falling down holes since I'm quite clumsy.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"WOW", I bought this for my 8 yr old and he really likes it, i thought i would take a look at it to see what it was about. now i am the one who has my own file on it lol it is a fun game you have "quests" to finish , place's to find, things to get before you can get the "better sword" i like this game alot and so does my son.

"Great game!", I bought the game as a gift for my boyfriend, who is currently stationed overseas. He really enjoys playing it. The good thing is that it's not so difficult that you need a walkthrough, but not so easy that you get through it too fast.

"Cool", I didn't know I would love Legend of Zelda since I am a tetris/mario/phoenix wright kind-of-girl. Anyway I start to fall in love with Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past as the game grows on me (with some help from the game guide). Cannot wait for Legend of Zelda: the Phantom Hourglass to come home (I pre-ordered it already!)

"A wonderful classic", While the original Zelda was great, this was the best of the line. Beautiful graphics for the time, very fun to play, challenging, funny. It is great fun to be able to play it again, and it is still quite entertaining.

"GOOD HARD CHALLENGING GAME", Dear Amazoner

For anybody who wants a challenge i would highly recommend this game often you need to look online to find out what to do next like often in zelda games its nice to take along but of course not quite as good a 3-D zelda
but defintley about the best hand held zelda till now otherwise i would suggest you the legend of zelda the minish cap (prequel to four swords)(2005) or the gamecube multiplayer four swords adventure(2005) for 2-D zeldas and the legend of zelda phantom hourglass (takes about 5-8hours) coming out october 2007 in europe for nintendo DS which got reveiwed by japanese gaming magazine Famitsu 39/40 and Ngamer(UK) 95/100 that just uses the touch screen (no buttons) which is the sequel to the hugely succsesful wind waker (gamecube) overall the game is fun to play every now and then especially if you think that it came out in 1993 and the inclusion of four swords is good better more than less although its kind of hard to find some one with the game a link cable and a gameboy advance and you cant play it alone but it got its own sequel see above 1-4 players (funner with more)

so i would suggest this game it gets better and better from the beggining the missions are quite hard youll have to retry them quite often (if you get bored of them you can always explore hyrule)but its worth it in the end and if you think that most people complain that new zeldas are to easy but not this one a strategy guide is suggested otherwise you can check the internet (ign.com gamefaqs.com) if you want a second opinion i would recommend ign.com
I would give the game
9.4 out of 10

the game takes between 20-30 hours

I hope my reveiw was helpful
