"Love tthis little crockpot.", This is just the perfect size for one or two people or for heating soups and keeping food warm.

"Small but Mighty", This is the first crock pot I've ever used. It's small but really does the trick. Loved everything I've made in it so far. It makes enough for a dinner for two with left overs the next day, which is great. I guess the only improvement might be a warmer option in addition to the high and low heat.

"Smells bad", I used it for the first time yesterday. It smelled like something plastic or rubber inside the cooker was burning. I was really afraid it's going to burn and kept an eye on it for about 5 hours. The stew was well done but it did scare me. I have no experience with slow cooker, is this smell normal for first-time use, or the one I received has some problem?

"Rival 2 1/2 Crockpot", Believe it or not, I have never owned a crockpot, and I am 60 years old. I decided to purchase one and enjoy making some comfort foods for myself. I love this little inexpensive crockpot, in fact my sister says that I am going to wear it out. Even though I no longer work, I love putting everything in it, and enjoying the aroma as it cooks, and then later in the day have a wonderful meal, such as my beef barley stew, chicken soup, pineapple pork chops over rice, and now I am going to make some rice pudding and bread pudding. For the money, you could not get a better little crockpot, and I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

"Awesome little crock!", I own four Rival sow cookers and this one gets used most. It can hold a lot more than it appears. I use it to cook small roasts, warm hot dogs for teh kids, make side dishes, for pasta dishes, to bake potatoes and yams, for rice pudding and so much more! My larger Rival crocks have had problems such as the handles breaking off from the lid or the heating element stop working, but this one keeps on going. We are a family of 6 and find so many uses for this little crock. It is a great investment and a great price!

"Good Product", excellent product. great for one or two person household. only complaints are outside gets very hot and could burn someone if accidently brushed up against it. i keep it away from the wall and anything plastic. i don't know if other brands don't have this problem. i would also like to non stick interior to the crock to make cleaning up easier. you have to remember to spray the inside before using. also remember to put root vegetables such as carrots, onions, potatoes in first then meat then sauce ingredients, since the vegetables take longer to cook. some meats such as chicken are better off cooked at high for 2-1/2 to 3 hours, since they can get dry even with the sauce. over all though i really like this product but i would have bought an oval shaped one, since food fits better in it. i'd like to see the following features, timer, keep warm button, oval shape, heat proof outside, non stick interior, on a small sized unit. i don't think any company is making the smaller size with these features. until they do, this is a very good product.

"spills over", Over the last couple of years I have gone slow-cooker crazy. I love the convenience and great tasting food that comes out of these things BUT cannot recommend this model. It runs way too hot and the ceramic crock fits in way too tightly. No matter what I try, condensed steam on the lid spills out over the rim and runs down in between, even on "low" setting. This causes the crock to stick to the pot. What a pain. Keep looking: You won't be sorry to get a slow cooker, just maybe not this one.

"best little slow cooker", Rival has no rivals when it comes to small slow cookers. I am perfectly satisfied with this item. The instruction book includes recipes and a guide to adapting other recipes to the slow cooker.

"Nice crockpot for two people", We bought this crockpot because we needed one that was small enough to make a couple of meals for two people. The others we looked at were way too big for just two people. This crockpot is very nice; the bowl is removable which makes it easy to clean. I cooks very nicely and even comes with a recipe book that has a few very good recipes in it.

"Rival 2 1/2 quart crock pot ", this green Rival 2 1/2 quart crock pot cooks nicely. It is a little smaller than my previous 5 quart one, easier to use as my family has gotten smaller. It arrived promptly with a defective crock. I called the company and they checked the paperword then said not to return it, but they would send a new one. I like it.
