"Since Launch..."
I've owned a purple Gamecube since it was released back in 2001. I have played it a ton until the Wii came out, since the Wii can play Gamecube games. If you are looking to buy a Gamecube get The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Super Smash Brother Melee, just to get started.

"cool console but not my favorite"
I bought this 2 years ago, I also bought sonic mega collection and sonic adventure 2 battle, the other games are oakay to me but It wasnt my favorite console, Graphics wise its okay but i dont care about graphics, the mario games were okay but the n64 ones were better too me, it wasnt a revoloutinary console, the n64 snes and nes and wii are and were, its good for parties but i could only afford to have 2 controllers, the only thing i would buy this system for if I didnt own it would be the mario party games, and lego star wars, but thats on wii(the complete saga)but its not a bad console in my opinion my favorite 6th gen console was dreamcast since it came before all the others and had some awesome party games and the sonic adventure series(i like the dreamcast versions better than gamecube)
but that doesnt mean its a bad console.

"very good"
they are a very good system with all of the mario titles plus tony hawk, need for speed, and super smash bros!

"Gamecube"
This was a replacement for a game system that we had worn out over the last 5 years - I play Animal Crossings and am trying to get to the ultimate "gift"

"Worth The Price"
Great, durable and reliable system. Nice too that you can get the adapter and play your GBA and SP games on it. The only drawback is the shortage of really good games.

What our customer's say!

"Thank you", Thank you very much for the Gamecube! My sun is very happy. There were no issues with the parcel.

"Nintendo GameCube System", I'm just wondering when they are going to lower the price again.
it's been at $[...] for a while now.

if you have the game boy ds or advance all that is - is a smaller more portable system that is in away like this system basicly.
it's more of there like the same thing.

I'm unsure if they are still making games for this system or not.
one sec I'll check that right now....it doesnt seem like they are making games for it.

I have checked gamespot and gamestop ~ gamestop has a link to there old used items but no news on making new games. as for gamespot no link to any news on upcoming games for this system.

I guess that answers it no new games for this system.
if your a collector (like me) I would go find some deals before you cant find it anymore.

but do your home work on the prices knowing it's going to be a classic prices may jump on other peoples listings.

It's hard to understand why this was not a big hit as it could of been.
came out in June 15, 2006 thats about 2 years old coming up on 3 years soon.

did nintendo give up on this ? or did they bust it them~selfs coming out with a new gameboy ? so in other words did the gameboy drown this system ?

alright back to the basics here.

"Rest in peace my friend. You've lived a long happy life.", Yeah, this is a dead console. The Wii has now spawned off. So as probaly the last reviewer, let me say, life well lived. Now this did not sell as well as Playstation 2 or Xbox. Why? It didn't play DVD's or CD's. But which is a better game station. The one who gave gaming it's all, Nintendo Gamecube. Plus, exclusives like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Chibi Robo. Rest in peace Gamecube, you've earned it.

"Still a Great Game System to Own and Enjoy!", The Gamecube. The name says it all for fans of "gaming". Although this system doesn't do anything else besides play games, isn't that what you really want to do? Some of you own the next-generation systems, with all the bells and whistles, but this system only does one thing and it does it well: I plays games and ONLY games.

For fans of Nintendo, this system will be more than satisfying to you. It's also at a great price now, and the availability of games is still in good force so you shouldn't lack for being able to obtain titles you want. Games are also reasonable, some being as low as 5 bucks. Be warned: The "Mario" titles can still go for as much as $30.00 depending on where you shop. Mario will always be popular, no matter what system he's on, past or present.

This sleek little box has some power to it, and the unique gaming format (small discs) makes it great to collect for. Some titles to get for this are: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tales of Symphonia, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon: Gales of Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion.............the list goes on and on. As I said earlier, most of these can be gotten for under $10.00. And since the Wii is backward compatible, they should be easy enough to get.

Since I've owned my Gamecube, I haven't had ONE problem with it. You'll read on the net that Xbox 360 owners all too frequently suffer the "red rings of death" and their systems crash and burn, requiring delays as Microsoft repairs them or sends them another unit. Nintendo has always made quality systems, and not one of their systems I've owned (and I've owned them all) has broken down on me.

From a collector's standpoint, the Gamecube is now the perfect time to get started on this system. Over 400 titles exist to pick up, plus plenty of other accessories (the Gameboy Player to name one) should keep you busy for a long time.

So, in conclusion, the Gamecube might be the next system you'd like to own. If you're a fan of Nintendo, get this system. It's cheap, it's easy to collect for, and it'll last a lifetime for your gaming needs.

"Game Cube console", game cube games are fun, but there are very few mature games out there. and there is no dvd or cd player function, but the multiplayer games rock!!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Gamecube", The Gamecube arrived in excellent condition and is being played continually. Was packaged very well to avoid breakage. Was very pleased with the shipment and the product.

"nintendo game console", This product not only worked like a brandnew console but came with the booklets and everything. This was a great replacement console for the one that stopped working.

"gamecube", works great, I even receive a free game with it; my 6 years old kid ely is very happy. thanks

"Don't Listen to 1 Star Reviews!!!", I have owned this Console for 7 Years and... it still works!! I found the GCN to be a very fun and nice console.

Story
The GCN has been loved and hated by people. The console's Durability is awesome; even if you dropped it from 7 Feet it would still work (I haven't tried this but I heard it works after a 7 foot fall)!! The GCN has been given tons of games; alot of them are fun (Like Pikmin 1 & 2, Mario Party, and alot of other Mario Games too), some other games can't even last you an hour (I don't want to type these because I don't want to start a so called "Computer War").

Gameplay
The Consoles Gameplay might have been the worst aspect (to some people). But I found the Gameplay to be enjoyable in some cases; rather it's Paper Mario to Pikmin Gameplay gets an Okay from me!!

Controls
I really don't know that much about controls about past games (judjing that I am 10 and i've owned this console for 7 years). But I really do like the set-up for Controls on the GCN, though on some games the Controls might not even respond the Controls get a Okay from me.

Graphics
Graphics are probably another pretty bad aspect (for some people). Sometimes in GCN games the controls are so ridiculous you might even turn the system off and return the game! But the Graphics are okay for me!

Sound
Some beautiful Sounds are in the GCN too. On some games the Sounds might even put you to sleep they're so beautiful. But at other times the sounds are so annoying (mostly because they're reapeted alot of times). Sound is really an EXCELLENT touch to the GCN.

Set-Up
Set-Up is really simple on the GCN; Mainly just plug a cord into the back of the Console then take the Audio and Video slots in to the front of the TV. Then you have the AC Adapter; just plug that into the back of the GCN then find a Electrical Plug-In. Set-Up is really simple.

Controllers
Alot of people are commenting on the horrific Controllers of the GCN. Half of the Controllers to the GCN don't even work. The're alot of Controller makers for the GCN: WaveBird, Pelican, MadCatz, Intec, Nintendo (of course). Out of all of all of these I think Intec is the best followed by Nintendo then Pelican, then WaveBird, then MadCatz. Some Controllers are Wireless witch is pretty cool but trust me some don't even get a Connection!!

Memory Cards
Memory Cards for the system are made by MadCats and Intec (Intec being better). The Memory Cards can fit in the palm of your hand and barely require any traveling space!! There are alot of Memory Cards you can select from: Some are 4MB, 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, and 64MB.

How The GCN Looks
Well its a Cube... umm... umm... umm... thats it!

Features
Power Button, Reset Button and Disc Cover Open button on the top. Handle on the back makes it east to carry around. Two Plug-Ins on the back (see Set-Up). 4 Port Controller Slots and 2 Memory Card Slots in the front. On the Botton is a place where you can Connect a thing where you can play GameBoy Advanced Games!!

Thanks for Reading, Jesse Jones GCN Fan

Oh and I would highly recommend this Console!!!!!!

"Why don't they make games for the gamecube anymore?", I am currently playing Twilight Princess and find the graphics on Gamecube very colorful and detailed. Why can't the powers- that- be continue to make games for this system? Some of us poor "shlubs" really like playing this!
