"Wonderful solution to holding up one page to a hardback book"
Fellowes 21140 Booklift Copyholder was an answer to all my problems from holding single sheet knitting patterns to holding a hardback book at the perfect level for me to easily read. The two tabs that flip up in the front hold the pages open. The tabs are easily adjusted with one hand so you can turn the page, with no damage to the pages. It's wide enough to hold a large hardback book steadily. The holder can be adjusted by 6 slots in the back. I use it for holding magazines or a book on my treadmill and cooking in the kitchen. I recommend this bookholder and believe you will find this a must have. Folds flat and portable.

"Cheap and does the job"
I was skeptical about getting this but it does the job. No more straining my neck to stare down at a book for hours. This stand makes it a hell of a lot easier to read. It holds heavy textbooks good enough (I haven't broke mine yet and I've had it for about a month now). The page holder did snap off because I was a little rough with it but I can easily crazy glue it. For the price, it is definitely worth it because it will just make things so much easier. Try finding similar items out there and you will pay triple the price or more. Just get a few of these and you'll be set.

I am so glad that I purchased this product. It puts less strain on my eyes and the back of my neck. Love that it folds down also because I had thought of getting a big bulky stand.

"Works quite well"
Although this book holder is quite lightweight, it works very well and holds books a good deal heavier than the holder itself. I bought this product for someone who is unable to hold up a book for any length of time, and it has worked out perfectly.

"light, compact but...", This is great for the price. It's compact, light, and you can fold it and put it inside your binder because there's holes in them for that. The bad things are that the rubber "legs" falls out and I lost all two of them. They keep them from sliding off the table, but I lost them. ANother bad thing is you can't really make this stand up no more than about 65 degrees. I wish it was more. But I would buy it. It's a good deal.

"Law Student", As a law student I found this product helpful. I was skeptical at first that it would be able to hold my heavy law books, but it does the trick. Does seem a little flimsy, but it has come in handy for the long hours of studying I do.

"Not useful", This product will not hold a book open. It is sturdy enough as a prop, so if your book lies flat this will do. It will hold open a magazine like National Geographic, but it will hold open neither the beginning pages of a large textbook, nor any page of a trade paperback.

I bought it to hold open medium-sized Latin and Greek books for me while I translate. It simply can't do it.

I can see where it might be convenient here and there for a few things. It is not a serious tool.

"It looks cheap, but actually very sturdy", The plastic joints seem like a break ready to happen, but once you set it up and move it around you notice that is very sturdy and will last a long time. I actually use it to hold up recipe books and other documents and it's held up even with a 500+ page book

"This thing works!", I knew this would be plastic when I ordered it, but when I finally put it to use, I realized that this is sturdy plastic! It also adjusts to different angles and you can use the page holder or not. It is pretty versatile. I gave it as a present to my roommate and she loves it! I see her using it all the time!

"bookholder", The booklift copyholder is plastic, tho' it looks like metal. I got it to use on my treadmill, but it slides, so I had to attach velcro to the holder & treadmill. Then it covers up the dials, so isn't quite what I wanted, but it's sort of useful. It works better as a cookbook holder.

"A reader's dream come true!", This item is perfect for almost every sized book and fits nicely on all the trays for aerobic equipment at the gym! A life (and brain) saver!

"Flimsy, but it'll work... for now", The design is flawless. If they just made it out of better materials, I'm sure many of us would pay 4 - 5x this price.

It works as advertised, but I don't anticipate it lasting very long. One of the page holding pegs at the bottom pops off nearly every other time I change the page. It's more of a nuisance than a problem, as it easily snaps back into place, but how long until it wears down the plastic clamp holding it there?
