"Review of - USB A M2F Extension Cable ", I purchased one of these thru Cables To Go. Their product number26686 3 meters or 9 2/3 ft) USB A Male to A Female Extension Cable. It was an off-white in colour. No mess, the cable lenght is long enough to extend behind the scenes of my new rather large corner computer desk without having a large bundle of slack cable left over. Speaking of coils, it is durable, resists kinking, but does wrap any extra footage rather nicely when tied off (I am not cheap - I'm just practical) with a couple of breadbag tie-ties.
Low-price Buy - Excellent Product - Purchased online because I was in a hurry to go on vacation, so can't rate Shipping time, but No S&H was a plus. Convenient Seller too!

"Short and sweet: it works.", As advertised, this is a working USB 2.0 extension cable. It costs less than what I would have paid in a retail store.

Also important is that it is truly 2.0, because all USB cables are not created equal. I once bought a cable from a large retail chain. This cable was advertised as "high speed," but when I used it as an extension for my devices, my PC would only recognize those devices as USB 1.1. I.e., slow, and in many cases unusable. I would think that wiring is wiring, but something about the cables is different between USB versions, and that difference is very important to recognize in terms of impact on productivity. I am thankful that this cable is true 2.0.

Currently I use this cable to charge my iPhone when plugged into my iBook G4, so that I can keep the phone on my nightstand even though my computer desk is over 10 feet away. At a later date I plan to use it as an extension for a 2.0 hub for my PC.

Note: the item received is not identical to the picture--the cover does not extend to the top of the female end of the connector. However, this has no effect on the usability of the product.

"Great Product!", This cable is plenty long and does exactly what is expected with no lapse in speed!

"USB cable extension", My brother sent me a card reader for my ditial camera but it wouldn't fit into my USB port since the front of my PC is recessed - so I purchased this USB extension. It works perfectly! Now I can download all my pics to my PC without having to hook up my camera, which uses up a lot power from the camera's batteries. The shipping was a bit high, but the price was more than fair and it was delivered quickly. Thanks, Amazon!!

"weak cable", Bought this cable to use with a 250 gb usb drive. It was enough to power the hard drive but not enough for windows to detect the drive. I ended up using it to connect a printer. Not recommended for connecting hard drives or for high speed data transmission. You get what ya pay for I guess.

"Very convenient", Works great. I have a desktop computer that I keep below the table. USB ports were difficult to access. This cable works great. I use to synch my IPod, camera, etc. Much easier than accessing the front or back of the computer.

"Cable connector for Flip Video", This is necessary to connect to the computer in most cases. This cable is a good solution for this need.

"does the job well", I bought this to extend the distance of my Bamboo writing pad from my computer so I can doodle while sitting on the couch since I have my computer hooked up to my TV in the living room. It works exactly as it should.

"not for flip - mac os 10.5.3 connection", Bought it to ease the connection between my flip ultra and my macbook but it only work once out of 10 attempts. Flip-Mac connection works fine without the cable, so the cable must be the problem.
Two-star because I'm keeping it and use it to extend my usb hub for the other peripheral which works fine. Also the return cost is probably more expensive than the product it self.


"Great for Multiple Peripherals Use/Extension", Inexpensive and good quality as it anything I have purhased from "Cables To Go". I have several of these cables which provides me extension and placement of peripheral equipment for both desktop and laptop. It is a male to female connection and can be used with any standard USB connection. Remember if it doesn't meet your needs you can return it and amazon with provide you with the shipping label online to send it back as they do with any of the items you order and most have 14-30 days for such return. However, I think you will like this product and it is usable for many items with USB connections.
