"Perfect fit with the game", This disc is great...hands down. I put this up there with Advent Rising as to how the score folows the game and everything fits together so well. When I listen to the tracks it perfectly reminds me of playing the game. Good score and put together very well.

"Not as good as I remembered", Besides the memorable main theme (punctuated by strong a cello section), I found the majority of the album lacking spirit or liveliness, that is, boring.

"A good all-around CD", I'm not a huge gamer, but I liked the music I heard when I first turned on Halo. Bought the CD, very happy with it, and throw it in my stereo once a week or so and play it once through on random. The music is diverse enough to keep you interested, but not so disjointed that you notice.

"Ahhh yes...", I got this soundtrack not really knowing what to expect since i had never purchased a video game soundtrack. I loved the music in the game but wasn't sure if it would have the same affect listening to it on my ipod...but it does. This is some great music if your a Halo fan or just a fan of music...awesome!!!

"Awesome game, Awesome soundtrack", As a proud owner of all 3 Halo games and frequent player of them as well, the first soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks. Even if you haven't played the game, this soundtrack is definitely worth it.

"Halo" a mix of electronic, classical, chorus, and rock. The irresistable "Opening Suite" with its chorus and strings is easily one of the most unforgettable tracks on the disk. Then it breaks into the long "Truth And Reconciliation Suite" which has a blend of all the memorable tracks from the game. From there, it just gets better. You have the beautiful works such as "Under Cover Of Night" then "Rock Anthem For Saving The World" explains itself. The only issue with this one is that I wish it could've been longer. "Drumrun" and some of "The Long Run" are mostly percussion works. "The Maw" is all chorus and it is truly one the most beautiful songs ever. "Library Suite" is eerie atmosphereic but done just so well. "Halo" is the track most people can associate with the game and is also the one song that is found throughout most of the games. Everything else is also a good listen.

If you played Halo and are looking for the soundtrack, or if you're looking for really good music, you'll enjoy this! I highly recommend it!

Favorites: Opening Suite, A Walk In The Woods, Under Cover Of Night, Covenant Dance, Rock Anthem For Saving The World (the best!), The Maw,On A Pale Horse, Library Suite, Suite Autumn, and Halo.

"Awesome. Fast", The Cd is Great. It arrived very fast, and faster than I what I expected.

"Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori Have done a fine job", The both of them have created a work of genius. If you haven't bought this soundtrack, I strongly recomend you do. It features amazing exotic instrumentation, synth sequensing, and awsome vocals. Truly a great kick start to a fantastic trilogy of games. Once again, I highly recommend this CD.

"wrong disk", A sticker on the packaging advertises a BONUS DVD with the HALO 2 trailer, demos and more music, but the second disk that came in the set was actually for Bible stories. Obviously a mixup in packaging and a lack of quality control.

"Halo Soundtrack", Phenomenal music that not only brings to mind images of the famed video game but also stands alone. The movements are powerful and heart-pounding.

"If you are a fan of Halo and its music...", You will want this CD! Most of the music you hear in the game is a shortened version of the score that was written! It is an eclectic mix of contemporary rock with a classical flair! I strongly recommend this to music lovers as well as gamers that enjoy Halo!
