"The new beginning...", So many people did not play the original GTA games, that that is alright. This was, when it came out, the most advanced and risky engine for a game yet conceived. This game changed the way we play video games.
Really, the first GTA (plus it's expansion) and GTA II were so much fun to play that we thought at the time that no one could ever top this. Since then, Rockstar has proven us wrong and gone above and beyond to create GTA games that almost consistently topped the one before (I do not count the PSP ones, they were weak and were only created to sell PSP's).
So if you have played any of the GTA games and want to try more, this one is a classis, a legend if you will, and will be forever.
The replay value of all of the GTA games is astonishing.

"One of the best sandbox games ever made", As far as sandbox games go this is one of my favorites ever. You get to do what ever you want short of going into every single building. This game is a blast for any mayhem seeker and is full of weapons and vehicals that will keep you happy for many long long hours of fun.

"Game does not function", The man walks to the left constantly and it cannot be STOPPED.

It takes just about a magician to drive the vehicle, it won't turn wheels to the right with the letter "D"

The CD is worn out or incompatible with Windows XP. I hate to give anyone a bad review but this game is terrible because the games CD seems to be either physically flattened or scratched, I did not take magnifying glass nor even look for scatches.

I tried my standard cleaning my turning it in a circle in a very soft cloth on playing side in attempt to fix the problem but it remains so I am not happy with the game at all, it is NOT PLAYABLE.

It is so worn out or incompatible, to me(?), it does not matter what the reason is, I bought a GAME THAT DOES NOT PLAY, I must rate that zero happiness, you would do same no? I mean I am not trying to hurt someoone here, I just want a game that works.

"Not New", This product was described as in factory packaging, whoever the tape on the box was oppen, but other then that it was in good condition

"Very unique and original", Opened up a new line of genre, very unique gameplay and expansive environment. But riddled with glitches and imperfections. Enough so, to make this very frustrating. Almost seems impossible at times. Fun for a few hours, but afterwards i wouldnt ever play it again. Not worth the money.

"one of the best", this is my favorite GTA game next to San Andreas. I loved playing this for PS2 but it is even better on the PC. The PC version actually allows u to aim by usinf the mouse where as in the ps2 vesion u had to use the auto aim button with most of the guns. I found that boring because you couldnt miss so there wasnt a challenge in shooting

"EXCELLENT GAME AVERY GOOD START.", This game,Grand Theft Auto III is deffinatly great and has LESS glitches then Grand Theft Auto Vice City & San Andreas and them 2 games are even newer a great 2D to 3D jump and a very good start.
Story Line:Your Charicter(remains unnamed) arrives at Liberty City bank in a Banshee sports car armed and it happens to be that Catalina(Cartel Head) is with Miguel(the 2nd best head of the Cartel) and is also robbing the bank you turn around and "BANG!" she shoots you and escapes with the stolen money that you requested for and you are at the back of a S.W.A.T. van with 2 men 8Ball and the Oriental Gentleman as well as a Copper but the Colombian Cartel hold up the van to kidnap the oriental Gentleman and gives you and 8-Ball a chance to escape and then the Callaghan Bridge blows up leaving Portland disconnected from the rest of Liberty City because 1)The Calaghan bridge is destroyed 2)the sub-road is still being built 3)the subway has shut down for a while and you are stuck with the L1-Mafia to give you work to pass time and the Diablos keep an eye on you until they contact you for work and the LC Triads start of not caring about you and then they hate you for destroying there trademark properties that include the LC launderette and the
"Belly-Up" Fish company.
GRAPHICS:7/10:The graphics are a bit cheasy but has less glitched then Vice City and San Andreas and are good for its release year,2001.
SOUND:The sound is great with 9 Radio Stations in every car except for Police,Ambulance and Fire Trucks ect. and the voice acting is great 9/10
StoryLine:8/10:A Great story line but its 2 short.

Future Predictions:GTAIII,GTA:V.C. & GTA;S.A. are all set on the 3 cities from GTA1(Liberty,Vice City and San Andreas) and the possibilities of ROCKSTAR-games making there next GTA(If) they might make an other city to shoot there next GTA into or they might set it in London(i think this because of GTA1 s Expansion pack is set in London) i hope they set it in London though because it will be a newer culture of crime different cops,different cars and i hope this is the case it won`t probably be in a real-like London like in The GetaWay,more of a fictional London because most of the features in a GTA game are made-up like the Cars,gangs ect. and if the next GTA is in London they won`t have licenced cars because GTA isn`t like that and i hope they have not ran out of ideas for an other GTA game so if you GTA fans want them to make another GTA game send RockStar your ideas of an other explosive GTA.9I DON`T CARE IF YOU DISAGREE with me because it my oppinion)

"GTA3,Vice City,SA: Best games ever created", The GTA series is the best games ever created, the freedom to do what ever you want, take out gangs with a rocket launcher, toss a nade into heavy populated areas, kill the police and take their cars, put out fires and earn money, beat up civilians and take their money, help mob bosses, pick up hookers with a taxi and drop them off, hack people to death with a chainsaw, own mansions and other properties, fly on a jetpack, kill army soldiers and take their tanks and jets, listen to radio stations and humorous radio talk shows and ads like pogo the monkey. just the best games ever created.

"totally violent", This game is way to violent. Why would it be so much fun to hurt someone. they say it's not for kids but I see many kids playing these games.Why do you think there's so much violence and other things like that in this world. It's partly because of these kinds of vidio games

"The most freedom you can have in a videogame today!", Okay, first of all, this game is a VERY violent game, and i would NOT recommend parents to buy it for children under 13. You must also make sure that they know the violence and crime is FAKE. There will be serious consequences for doing these things in real life, and they know not to do what they do in this game. Back to the game, this is simply, hands down, the best game ever created. It is an innovation within an innovaton. The storyline is excellent, as you get betrayed and shot by your friend during a bank robbery. Later, you must work your way through the dark streets of Liberty City, working your way toward the ones who betrayed you. The missions never repeat themselves, and they are always fun and challenging. BUT, you WILL NOT be able to beat this game without codes, and i do not know anyone who did. So i strongly advise you get the codes before playing. Other than that, the sense of freedom this game gives you in between and after all of the missions is astounding. You can go almost anywhere, and do almost anything, something never before acheived in a video game.

Gameplay- 5+- Extremely fun and addictive, especially when you have a group of your friends around you to see your crazy runs from the law and laugh as you drive your car off a cliff into the ocean (nothing beats the feeling when you watch your friend do the same thing).

Sound- 5- The radio stations are great, especially game fm. The commercials are extremely hilarious, and you can even make your own custom radio station with your own tunes.

Graphics- 4- Allright, but could be better.

Storyline- 5- Great story, very fun missions.

I really have to congratulate rockstar with their acheivment in the video game industry. Great job guys. As for the people reading this, if this game is on its way to your house right now, click the buy button above. Bottom line- WOW!
