"Great!", This is an educational product while it entertains and teaches problem solving skills. My 8 year old really looks forward to playing it.

"Fond memories", This seems to be the same game that I loved as a kid, unfortunately the disc was pretty much unusable (worn from tons of use) by the time we got to WinXP, so I don't know about that problem.

All I know is that even now, almost 10 years later, I am much more educated about the 50 states than fellow college seniors.

Besides what you learn through playing the adventures, the built-in "atlas" is an incredible and easily understandable resource. It includes a lot of interesting information as well as the basics.

"Great Game, but...", It does not work in Windows XP or above. Even when changing the settings to Windows 98 or 95 compatibility mode is does not help. Actually the game will run, but will freeze at completely random spots. We've got 30 some copies of this game in our computer lab at the school I work at and we can't use them. It used to be a favorite of almost every 4th and 5th grader in the building. Anymore, the kids the that know about the game don't even try. It just doesn't work anymore. Bummer. The kids loved it, fantastic educational game, easy to learn, overall a challage to play... and we can't use it.

"So slow.", This software was so slow to load on my Dell laptop that my son never even tried to play this game. I love the game (from previous versions) but this version was pretty much unplayable.

"Cool Game", I love this game !! It helped me learn some facts about the US. I solved 30 cases on it and Im still not tired of it. It is a SUPER COOL GAME. YOU SHOULD BUY IT !! And even adults could play and have fun. My dad tested this game and he found something he didnt know.All I have to say is Carman Sandiego games rule. I have this one, the time traveling one, and me and my friend are sharing the world one.

"carmon sandiago U.S.A. IS great", I love this game my school computer teacher introdusted me to this game. Every one in my class likes it and would give it 5 stars.

"Useless game", I love the games Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego but I won't play them anymore and I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone buy them because their video capabilities have not been upgraded. They still only work at 640 x 280, 256 colors, when the whole world has gone past that standard. To use these games on a modern machine you have to keep switching your display colors back and forth. I don't know about anyone else but I find that an imposition. I am not a mechanical genius and I don't like touching things on my machine that I don't need to touch since I usually forget what I have done and then wonder why nothing else works.
