Gel-filled wrist rests are awesome!

I use my PC for about 2-4 hours per day - over the past 15 or so years. I never have any problem with wrist fatigue or pain!

Couple this with a gel-filled mouse pad, and you're good to go!

"I like it! Needs a bit of work, but I like it."
I have a Microsoft keyboard with the "wave" design. This wrist rest pad didn't work well with it in the normal position because of the straight edge on that side so I turned it around so the wave on the wrist rest pad was the mirror image of the wave of the keyboard. That worked alright but worked even better when I took a utility knife and cut away the excess fabric on the wave side so there would be a more snug fit between the keyboard and wrist pad. The excess fabric wasn't missed at all and didn't harm the wrist pad, it just had the company's advertising printed on it.

So, this product gets an extra star from me for the flexibility it has to work with both a straight-edged keyboard and a wave-shaped keyboard.

As for the job it does in providing comfort, it stands out there too. Very comfortable, the right amount of support and height and a comfortable padding that molds to your wrists. It has a rubber backing like the sole of your favorite pair of sneakers and a good, heavy weight to it so it doesn't easily slide around or fall off the keyboard tray while in use.

My only complaint with it is the extremely strong chemical smell it has. If you've experienced the smell of those memory foam mattresses or pillows, this has a similarly strong chemical smell. I've had the wrist rest pad for 3 weeks now and it still has a strong smell that you are very aware of while sitting at the computer. It is slowly dissapating, but right now, it still has a stank. If you can endure the stank, you'll like the comfort this product gives.

"bad shape"
Why is it shaped so there is little or no support for the right wrist? I would recommend getting something else. This support is just not useful - apparently the person who designed this must type with one hand. If it was not such a hassle to return the item to Amazon I would.

"smells horrible"
the gel pad works great, and i am very pleased with the comfort it gives.

However, the thing smells REALLY bad. its like a burnt rubber and paint combo. I cracked it open and used it for about half an hour and started feeling really sick and got a headache. I highly recommend airing this thing out for a few days or something before you use it. This has to be against some sort of safety or hazardous inspections. this is not your ordinary smell.

"Quality wrist pad for the price"
Works great, and it doesnt miraculously loose cohesion with use.

My last wrist pad had disintegration issues so I am very happy with this one.

What our customer's say!

"Too Hard", Once again a 'soft' wrist rest that is too hard.
It is certainly better than the hard rubber kind (they may be worse than nothing).
I suggest a wrist rest that flows like a waterbed, but I have not seen any sold for over 10 years (they really worked!)

"Firm and soft, but...", Wonderful very comfortable wrist rest with a durability problem. You must be careful not to position your elbow on the left side when relaxing or the pressure will eventually cause the seam to open and the gel escape. The covering fabric is glued down when it should be stitched so it will separate. Otherwise the gel covered foam inside is firm yet soft. How do I know what's inside? Because two of them have ripped open so far. Belkin should find a better glue, but I still like the product.

"Nice product except for smell", It's a nice product except for smell...Think u need to wash it before using it...My wrist pain is gone after I started using this product...

"very good", Very nice. Not as soft and comfortable as memory foam, but much softer than most gel wrist rests. Very good quality/construction. Nice look to it too, and not too big, as some are.

"A good purchase for the price", A pretty good product for the price. I have no complaints since I bought it. Gives my wrists good support while typing on my keyboard (in a neutral position, not the raised one) and also gives support to my elbows while i want to plop my head on my hand while reading long documents. So, it has been a hidden savior for my elbows by keeping them off the hard table surface. Other than that, I gave it 4 stars because of the shape. The curve which you can see on the picture is actually facing you, whereas I think it should be facing away from you so that it can fit in the groove of your keyboard between the CTRL key and the arrow buttons so it would be a snugger fit. But it's not at all a disadvantage and I wouldn't use that reason to keep me from ordering this product again. Also, the smell that everyone keeps mentioning about is pretty strong when you open the package, but it dissipated within the hour. So, no other complaints and am very satisfied with it.

"comfortable & help with wrist support", works well. user(s), however, should position their hands, chair height, lumbar support, take frequent breaks etc, for optimal ergonomics & minimizing repetitive injuries.

"Helps wrists. It's well worth it.", I bought this because my wrists hurt after being so long on the computer. It helped a lot. Didn't fix everything, but it is worth it. It looks and feels nice too. I would recommend it.

"Great Pad", I bought this pad for my home keyboard and liked it so much I bought another for my one at work. It is comfortable and the right height for both keyboards, which happen to be two different Microsoft products. I think anyone with a curved keyboard would be happy with it.

"Fell apart after less than a year of use", Update to below: Against my better judgment, I bought a second one of these, thinking that perhaps the first one had been defective. The new one didn't even last a month before it split open and spewed sticky gel gunk all over my keyboard and desk. I won't make the mistake of buying another one, they are poorly made.

------

Why can't somebody create a gel-filled wrist rest that holds up?

I bought the Belkin wrist rest pad to replace my previous one (3M) which had fallen apart. All I do is rest my wrists on it while typing. I don't squeeze it, touch it or abuse it in any other way. Yet in less than a year, the outer covering split open along one of the seams and the inner material started coming out. By the time I realized it, I had gummy gel bits all over the place, including inside my keyboard where they were making keys stick. It took me a couple of hours of unpleasant effort to "ungunk" my keyboard.

Not recommended.

"Good Product", I spend stretchs of 12-15 hours sitting at the pc, and my wrists are frequently tired as a result. This wrist pad does the job quite well. Its a smooth, non-abrasive material and has a streamlined modern look. My only complaint, and its a very mild complaint, is if you pick it up and flex it back and forth even just a bit..by accident or otherwise, you may eventually develop small air bubbles which interrupt its smooth look but don't impact the functionality whatsoever. It might seem a bit pricy but your wrists will thank you.
