"yee", dis game straight except sometimes dudez be missin they layups and fools be missin dunks like they trippin. aint nobody bank in a j. it hard to break a persons ankles wit the crossover, but u back someone down and u can usually get a nice slizam, especially wit cwebb, sheed, walker, and AI go crazy mane, like 40 points a night. "Not satisfied", Every year I looked forward to buying the newest in the NBA-Live series, with each year getting better and better. I was very excited to be getting this game, thinking it would be the best, but I was wrong. This looks much like a step back for EA. Examples are, there is no referee, now the ball floats into the air magically again. The crowd looks like cartoons, with very bad animations. The players now look like cartoons as well. Little things like that may not seem important, but when it was better the year before it makes the game bad. Try Live 98, 99 or 2000 if you want a good game.

"I HATE THE LIVE SERIES", I think that this game was very poorly made without much thought i hate live series and i wouldnt reccomend this basketball

"Great Game... One Mistake", I got NBA Live 2001 a long time ago. It had awesome game play and cool dunks but their was one mistake. There weren't many shots that hit off of the rim and went in the net!! There were all swishes and backboards!! Overall, this game is a good buy and has great animation!!

"Great graphics and good game.", NBA Live 2001 is a good game, and the graphics are great, but just as EA Sports did in their baseball game this year (Triple Play Baseball), they took away more from the previous game than they added (where did practice mode go?). Still, the game is very well made, and as long as you have a good computer (I have a Pentium 4), the graphics are simply unbelievable. Give it a try - have fun dunking with Shaquille O'Neal and Vince Carter, and sink some threes with Reggie Miller and Dee Brown. The legends are fun to play with too - Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, etc. Overall, this is a fun game that all basketball fans should give a try.

"I'm so disappointed", WEll, i've played almost every nba live game. but i think NBA live 2000 will be much better. for nba live 2001, they missed practice and 3 point shoot out. They also can't custom a team and most of the things that can create ur player is gone. I'm so disappointed. the graphics are good but they need to make the stadium more people like people that' s taking pictures and a refree and people walking around and doing other things. i also think the benched players are out of size. some are so huge and some are so small they didn't do anything. just puffy their muscles.and when it's a foul, they dont' cry out the foul. and i think the game shouldn't be 15.00 it should be lower like 5 dollars or a little more! i hope EA sports can make nba live 2002 much better like i suggested. and also the computer are too lazy they don't go for the ball they just stand there doing nothing. they won't go for the ball. and the ways of dunking i hate it i like the dunking in nba live 98 they have different kinds of dunking like the spinning one and more. so i hope nba live 2002 will be better.

"Wow", Everybody who loves in your face basketball will love this game. This Game has the most amazing graphics I have ever seen. Gameplay is Awesome. I'd recomend this game to all basketball fans so instead of a trashy game get NBA Live 2001!

"pales in comparison to nba live 2000", its fair to make a direct comparison to live 2000- and the conclusion is that live 2000 is a much better game. live 2001 suffers from a lack of smooth and intuitive gameplay that seemed to come so naturally with live 2000. the cut-away shots are VERY realistic and awesome looking, but the regular viewpoint of the gameplay looks a step below (in my opinion) of live 2000. however, easports easily still produces the best NBA simulation on the market. while live 2001 is a notch below 2000, 2000 was one of the best sports games ever and would be hard to duplicate its success. so buy 2001 for the roster updates but dont expect to be blown away.

"NBA Live 2001...Some improvements", EA sports has given this game better graphics than it's previous games. The problem with this game is that now not nearly as many shots go in. I feel that that is not a major problem and would not dissuade me from buying it. Otherwise, the players ratings are more realistic, the players look more realistic, and the three-way trade option is good. But...about the three way trades, you can't give players from one Computer team to another, but it is almost essential to make a three-way trade work.
