"No better MX game, PERIOD!", There is no better MX game on the planet, bar none. I have played them all and I continue to come back to this game again and again. The hardware of today has no issues with this game and runs it easily and smoothly. I have run it under XP and Vista with success in both.

"fun and adictive - by levi", first you install it then you play it then you can't stop playing it. I enjoy this game very much and advise all motor cross fans who don't have a motor bike\dirt bike & love computers to buy it i think you will enjoy it.

"Very buggy on today's machines", Graphics are still nice even today. Strangely, the game becomes virtually unplayable on today's hardware as game breaking graphic
glitches and sound bugs show up very often. These problems alone push it a couple notches from being a top game now. Further dropping it down, are the unresponsive controlling of stunts. One is very lucky if buttons work in time to avoid trouble. Though never reaching a five star rating Motocross Madness 2 had its day...several years ago.

"MCM2, I miss you", This is/was one of the best PC games of all time. Several Co-Workers and I played it multiplayer on the net quite a bit back in the late 90's. We can't really run it nowadays, since MS made it impossible to play it on their Zone.com (formerly Internet Gaming Zone, formerly...) service in the WinXP era. LOL, the self-proclaimed kings of backward-compatible software published both the game and the OS. They do have a kb article suggesting manually opening a few firewall ports required to play it on the Zone, but it didn't work on either of my routers. MS expects those who want to play it in XP to use a UPNP-compliant router and enable the dreaded UPNP service. No thanks, UPNP is still a major security risk for boxes that spend lots of time on the net.

"Could have been great but was a total letdown.", I got this game thinking it would be at the very least a little bit of fun since I had never played a motocross game before, but instead it was a pathetic disappointment. First off the graphics, while not terrible, are disappointing especially since this is a relatively new game, the bikes and riders aren't well detailed and the tracks are even worse. The sound on the other hand is horrific there is absolutely no music with the exception of the opening movie, and the sound effects are BAD, your bikes engine sounds weak and there isn't any background sound (and another completely unexplainable problem, you engine sounds like it's idling whenever your bike leaves the ground even if your gunning it). Another HUGE disappointment is that all the bikes handle exactly the same according to engine size, so a Honda 250cc and a Yamaha 250cc will handle identically! There is no real tournament mode, there is something called pro-circit where you enter a set of races to earn money but there is NO way to upgrade your bike you can't even buy a new one, as you progress though more bikes will become availible but since there all in the same engine class there is no difference, and there is no choice as to wether or not to repair your bike, so once you choose your class your just racing to keep in the black. The manual claims that teams might let you join but I found no indication of that in the actual game. The AI is almost impossible to beat and if you don't place dead last you can consider your self a great racer. The physics are contradictory because takeoffs are way overplayed but landings are almost impossible. Overall this is yet another game that could have the best of it's genre, but because of Microsoft's lack of attention to details it will be doomed to the bargain bin.

"This is above all one of the best all family member games...", This game is awesome easy to play for all ages yet challenging with something new & exiciting every time you play.

"one realistic kickin game!!!!!", I think this game is one of the best I have ever played in my life! I ride and race bikes and this is so close to the real thing its not funny this is probably the only game I play anymore it realy kicks, still not as good as winning a amature AMA MX or CC(cross country) but almost, so you should definatly buy this game it rocks and gets the five stars for me.Dont forget to come play on the zone when u get it! later IM out!!!!!!!!!

"Best Motocross Out There, But Still Disapointing", I've played several recent motocross type games for the PC and in my opinion this is the most intriguing; however, don't expect Tony Hawk's Pro Skater gone motocross. The physics are fun (because it's easy to get a lot of air), but the game play gets old. Combos are very hard to pull off, and it seems that you hit more trees than checkpoints in the racing modes. It may be worth renting, but I wouldn't want to add this to my collection. There is a reason this game is always on sale.

"Much better play than Motocross Mania", Can't speak highly enough about this game! Heck, even my sister loves playing it, and she HATED it when I used to motocross. Yes, the physics are quite wacky. I believe MicroSoft did this to increase air time for stunts. Having almost literally been killed myself trying some of these in real life, I didn't really have a problem with this feature... I ignore the tricks and try to cut the fastest lap times- just like you're supposed to do in a real race. You'll need a fast machine, and by all means a STOUT videocard to run this game (I suggest NVidia, works great for me), so be advised. My only disappointment was not having a Kawasaki KX to ride like I used to when I raced back in Texas (some kind of liscensing problem?). I also have Motocross Mania, and believe me, even with Deibus' patch, MM2 blows Mania into THE WEEDS.
