Others say..."good game-i suggest it"first off this game is amazing. the graphics are not great but are OK.the only reason i gave this game four stars was that it would have been better if there was a MAIN GAME with missions. but other than that the game is sick. "the best"THIS GAME IS GREAT THE INTRO TO THIS GAME GETS U HYPED UP AND READY TO PLAY I SUGGEST THAT U BUY CRAZY TAXI 1,2,3 1&2 IS FOR DREAMCAST BUT 3 IS FOR XBOX OR PS2 BUT STILL LOADS OF FUN!!!!!!! "Intense, adrenaline-pumping fun"As one of the big ticket titles for the fledgling Dreamcast, Sega's final venture into the home console market, this game needed to replicate and improve upon the quality established by its arcade counterpart. Naturally, die-hard fans of the arcade machine would flock to a home release, regardless of quality, to save themselves a bundle on quarters... but the real trick was capturing the hearts and minds of the home market. Crazy Taxi's arcade release came near the very end of the out-of-home market's lifespan. Like it or not, gamers just weren't leaving home with as many tokens in their pockets as they had in the decades beforehand. Sega had captured the arcade market with this imaginative gem, but they'd only reached a dwindling fraction of the gaming market. To really consider Taxi (and the early quarter of the Dreamcast's life) a success, they needed a grand slam here. As with any good arcade title, there's no lengthy, thought-provoking back story to the world of Crazy Taxi. It's instantly accessible, mindless fun. After ten minute of gameplay, you feel like an old pro. You could take a wild guess about the premise just by looking at the CD jacket and get 90% of it correct. OK, get this... you're a TAXI driver.... who is rewarded for driving all CRAZY-like... and your only purpose in life is to earn more money. End of story. As seems to be the case with any arcade game, the physics of CT have been mussed with just a teensy bit, aiding in the transformation of a taxi driver's day from monotonous, mundane errands to wild, exciting rides. Your car will never sustain any damage, nor will those of the game's various citizens. Instead, vehicles bounce off of one another, roll over and sail through the air like so many cartoony bumper cars. The lack of any real visible consequences for your actions (aside from the obvious loss of game time) really help to set a player's mind at ease and let the relaxation set in. Sure, you're rushing around the city like a madman... but at least you're at ease in doing so. A new addition to the home release of the Taxi is the refreshing "Crazy Box" mode, which takes the tweaked physics engine of the regular game and applies it to other varied driving games. You'll drive down a bowling alley, complete with oversized pins. You'll cruise down a skier's long jump ramp and sail off the edge. You'll navigate a teeny stretch of road, complete with sharp turns, instant death on either side and a relentless time limit. It's a great way to introduce new players to some of the more advanced methods of game play, while giving experienced players a set of new challenges and a chance to brush up on their abilities. It's exactly what the home release needed to set it apart from its arcade cousin and to intrigue the more demanding home market. In addition to an easily established (and notably improved) premise, the control scheme on my familiar white Dreamcast controller is damned close to perfection. The number of commands necessary to play a game of Taxi are relatively small: you just need to steer, accelerate, brake and shift. The Dreamcast pad, however, functions as though it were sculpted with this very game in mind. The left and right triggers are your brake and gas, respectively, and are pressure sensitive, which means you have much more control over your pedals. The analog stick is a flawless de facto steering wheel, to the point that I can't imagine controlling the game with a regular wheel any more. Likewise, the "A" button switches you to reverse and the "B" button guns it back into drive... both buttons placed logically in the exact spot where your thumb should be while holding down the right trigger. This placement makes shifting, accelerating and the various advanced play mechanics introduced in "Crazy Box" much more natural and easy to accomplish. Visually, there's no distinguishing the game from its arcade counterpart. They're honestly identical, which was really a big feather in the Dreamcast's cap at the time of the game's release. In today's world, alongside graphical masterpieces such as Gran Turismo 4 and Project Gotham Racing 2, it doesn't stand a chance, but at the time it was really inspiring to see. Each of the four selectable drivers are well crafted and easily recognizable, even in the heat of a tight deadline. They each cruise around in their own original cab, styled to match their personality and come fully equipped with their own custom license plate. There's a good selection of different models out on the roads, but I'd be lying if I said you'll never see a duplicate out on the road. They're all pretty abundant, but there's enough variety that you won't be distracted by the same car lined up, bumper to bumper, all the way down the road. Finally, the audio... which is just completely over the top. Seriously, the amount of effort that went into acquiring, licensing, writing, recording, mastering and implementing the various audio aspects of Crazy Taxi is just mind-blowing. Everything from the musical score (provided by The Offspring and Bad Religion, respectively) to the driver / passenger voices and interactions (which vary depending on the individual) to the sound of oncoming traffic, rubber on asphalt and screaming civilians is spot on. The speedy, racing mainstream punk rock soundtrack perfectly accompanies the rushed, frantic pace of the game itself. Absolutely flawless. In short, Crazy Taxi was everything Sega needed to re-establish themselves in the home market. It's a superb experience, whether you're playing alone at home on a Friday night or taking turns with a large group of friends. Where it's lacking in depth, it makes up with replayability and a tight control scheme. If you've got a Dreamcast sitting around at home and you haven't picked this game up yet, now is most certainly the time.
"Crazy Taxi Is Not So Good" If you are thinking about buying the game change your mind!!!!! It might seem fun at first but after the first couple of months it's going to be boring.I bought this game because I was intrested and today it's collecting dust. There goes ten dollars down the drain. So take my advice and don't buy the game.

What our customer's say!
"Cool Game", Just bought a Dreamcast for cheap off Ebay and this was one of the games included. The game is awesome at first. I mean I had never played it before or anything like it for that matter. The graphics are pretty solid and the music goes well with the game. Not sure how long it remain fun but If you can get this game for around 5 bucks then go for it.
"Crazy Taxi", The game is one of the many Sega Dreamcast classics. Well worth the money.
"Crazy Taxi", This game was good back in the day when I was younger. But now I wouldnt be as interested in playing it. But the game has pretty good graphics. The city scenes are pretty nice. The gameplay isnt bad, has pretty good control over the Taxi you drive and stopping etc. Its fun picking up people then afterwards dropping them off at their certain destination within a certain amount of time. And you have to drive through heavy traffic etc. Fun game but VERY repetitive. The WHOLE game is this. You cant really unlock anything. There isnt much to do in this game. Theres some Mini Games, that are easy and dont take long to beat at all. So what do to after that? No idea, play original mode. But its a decent game for a certain amount of time.
"CRAZY FUN!", One of my favorite reasons for still owning a Dreamcast is this game. I love this game because it is so much fun. I love racing games. Even though this isn't a typical racing game you do have to race to get your taxi customers to their destinations in a certain amount of time. I love the scenery and I like that it is suppose to resemble San Francisco because that is an awesome city with all of the hills. It's also cool how you get to pick up some people under water. Even though I don't usually listen to the kind of music that is featured in this game, I like it in the game because it fits well with the fast paced craziness of the game.
"A good game to come back to from time to time", This game is a lot of fun to play. There are very different pretty large cities that can be fun to explore some time if you get tired of driving people around. The only real problem with this game is that after a while you can get pretty bored, especially after you find the handful of awesome places to get stunt points, and you end up going no where else. Outside of this the game is great, and if you get bored try playing the arcade mode where you get little time, but gain more as you drop people off. Also I if you get bored just drive around and see what you can find. Finally when you have done all that you can set the game aside for a little while, and come back to it and enjoy again!!

Read this reviews before You buy..."A very good arcade driving game.", This really is an arcade driving game. You can forget realistic physics, licensed cars, and customizable vehicles. Crazy Taxi has none of that. What it does have is an enjoyable blend of frantic "forget the rules of the road" driving and timed passenger deliveries. There are four modes of regular play and two maps to drive on. There is also a little extra part where you have to perform certain tasks to continue. The graphics are not too bad, but there are many situations where the graphics get slowed down considerably. When these slow downs do occur it's never for very long, and they don't happen very often. I'm not a big fan of the music, but I suppose it's not too bad. It does go along with the atmosphere of the game. Overall this game is well worth the little amount of money you'll likely pay for it. Even if you're not a fan of racing games, this is a real good game for spontaneous play when you don't want to get involved in some epic adventure. This is a game that every Dreamcast owner should have in their collection.
"fun for a while", I had heard a lot of good things about Crazy Taxi, so when I came across a copy for just a few dollars, I figured I'd buy it. It is a lot of fun. Good game play, humor, and Offspring for its soundtrack. There's not a whole lot I can say bad about it. Except for one thing, and this is a problem everyone has, it gets old quick. You can play for an hour or so, and then you have to put it away for a few days or a week. It doesn't have much staying power, which is what is important with a game. Still, it is fun, and it's a good game to play until you get your copy of Grand Theft Auto.
"game gets old quick", this game is fun at first, but quickly proceeds to being boring! i'd rather play grand theft auto for a good system, that way you can have the same amount of fun as you do with crazy taxi (you can be a taxi driver in GTA3)!
"Lets Have Some Fun!", Now this is an essential game for Sega Dreamcast owners. This game is so fun and addictive it's almost ridiculous. With the faithful port from the arcade plus additional modes (Crazy Box, Original) this game is not to be missed. Regarding the graphics, they are awesome with the city buildings, cars and other various objects in the game looking nicely detailed and sharp looking. The gameplay is, of course, very fun and entertaining, picking up customers and driving to their destinations by any means possible (You can smash around garbage cans, tables, mailboxes, chairs, knock over other cars, catch serious air off inclines and you can even drive under water) The dialogue is hilarious between the passenger and driver (I prefer Axel) Also seeing how much moola you get from your customers will bring you back for more and more. The only complaint I have with Crazy Taxi is the occasional slow-down in the game (Note the 4 star rating) But overall this Dreamcast title is a must-have offering good replayibility and just pure brain-less fun.
"Awesome gameplay, great graphics, and a good story", In Crazy Taxi, you play as 1 of 4 characters. Drive through a variety of scenery such as different cities and oceans, this is a must-have Dreamcast game! Crazy Taxi has great graphics and a funny story line that everyone will enjoy. This is an excellent party game...
