"For the old school gamers with an attention span", Final Fantasy VI was a milestone in the RPG world. At the time of it's release the graphics were supurb and used all the resources the Super Nintendo had to offer. Chracter developement was outstanding and the story was excellent. Final Fantasy VI definately lives up to it's name as the best Final Fantasy game. There are people who dislike this game mainly because of its graphics. Many gamers were introduced to the Final Fantasy series through Final Fantasy VII. I can't blame them if they can't follow dialogue or customize weapons, items, and armor and have the attention span to remember what they are doing and where they are going.
Gamers out there that look for games to have dazzling graphics and quick button pressing and fast paced gameply will dislike this game. This game is all for the storyline and customization of it's characters.

Final Fantasy V which was first released in North America in the anthology set is definately worth your time. Compared to VI I found that V is lacking. But you can see the evolution of the Square company through its transitioning games and Final Fantasy V truly marks their effort before the powerful Final Fantasy VI and VII. I rate this game five stars because no less can be given to Final Fantasy VI. Seperately I would have to give Final Fantasy V four stars, mainly because although I enjoyed it I also found it lacking in comparison to VI but comparing games is not how you rate them so I rated this one on the fun I had. If you are going to play FF5 you need to clear your mind of "Well FF6 did this better, or FF7 had better graphics" We must remember that Final Fantasy V came before and we should play it for what it is and admire it as part of this awsome series that keeps changing and evolving.

"Classic", Final Fantasy Anthology

What classic games. Both Final Fantasy 5 and Final Fantasy 6 are incredible games in the series. I enjoyed playing both of them from start to finish. I do, however, have a few caveats for people interested in buying this game.

-These are direct ports from the Super Nintendo, released in the states in 1991. The graphics are of the time; they aren't the 3D graphics of the PlayStation.

-There are some load-times, which are a little frustrating at times, due to the fact that these were not present in the Super Nintendo release of these games.

-This is a Final Fantasy game. It requires time, patience, and will not necessarily be a walk in the park. You will have to spend time exploring and leveling up. It is inevitable.

I was inspired to write this after reading several ignorant review stating that 'these graphics sux!!' and 'FFVII pwns!!'

These games are well worth the time and effort, as long as you remember you are playing games that are over 10 years old. That is all.

"Final Fantasy Anthology Review", If you are a fan of the Final Fantasy series then you really need this one. both games are intensely fun. if you want more original graphics with a few cg movies thrown in then this is for you. but i have a feeling they will be releasing both of these games for the DS if that suits you better.

"Final Fantasy PS I", Great game! My 14 year old is just now getting into the Final Fantasy games. He enjoys them a great deal! They are now priced at a resonable cost for families on a budget.

"AWESOME RPG CLASSICS", Final Fantasy VI on this collector's package was the first final fantasy i have ever played, which was on the super nintendo at the time i did. FFVI i believe has a great storyline and I think even though the graphics don't compare to what is out there today, the storyline and fun gameplay will make this a must-have for final fantasy collectors and rpg fanatics.

"Not Advertised Correctly as Greatest Hits Version", Just to let anyone curious know, you will receive the Greatest Hits version with the green stripe down the left side, not the original that is shown in the picture for this item, although it should be obvious to anyone realizing how old this game is now. Still, it's a little deceptive.

"Amazing", This game is awesome. It was a two-game package for the price of one. In one week I was halfway done with it, and my brother was halfway done with the other one. Out of all of the Final Fantasy games, VI is probably my favorite.

"There are much better versions of these games out there...", Yes, you could buy this collection of FF 5 and 6, or you could buy the gameboy advance versions. I owned this for ps1 and the load times going fromt the overworld to the status menu put me to sleep. I really do like these two games, but they play so much better on the GBA than the PS1. Unless you can't find a gba, gba sp, gb micro, or even a gb player addon for a gamecube, then i'd say buy this. If there's one thing i can't stand, it's a good cartridge game being ported to a system that makes the experience dull and boring.
