"a great game for everyone!", Ladies and Gentlemen, I have had this game for a long, long time. It is, by far, one of my favorite SIM games (other than the SIMS and SIMS 2 for PC and MAC). It is not completely easy to get a 5 star park, but once you figure out a pattern, it's pretty easy. I used to spend HOURS on this game. I love that you have 3 different places to keep your guests, your workers, and your animals happy. I love how trying to create a controlled environment just doesn't work (I've separated each animal with water as if in a zoo). I love the music and the sound effects. I LOVE the trivia game that it includes, but my number one absolute favorite thing about this game is the variety. There are species of animals and trees in this game that I had never heard of, but have learned so much about thanks to this game. It is absolutely PERFECT for young teens who love animals, like me.

You may think, well, I'd rather have my kids learning Spanish or math... what good will knowing about Helmeted Guinea-fowl be in their future lives? Well, I'm 23 now and I work in Disney's Animal Kingdom driving through the Kilimanjaro Safari and I was able to tell my trainer about the animals in the preservation before my training began. We even have Helmeted Guinea-fowl, and here's the real kicker, they really do make the noise they make in this game!!!

This game is my number one choice for fun and learning about wildlife and I'll be keeping it around for my own children. I LOVE this game - totally worth EVERY PENNY!! AND if you love the game, make sure to come to Walt Disney World and visit me at Kilimanjaro Safari so I can tell you what you'll already know!! lol

"Fun, but...", Sim Safari is a very fun game, but it's very monotonous. You do pretty much the same things over and over and over again. BUT, I was addicted to it for about 6 whole months, so that's got to be worth something. Overall, a very kind game and piece of equipment. Call now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Still a great game. :)", I got this game years ago and I still play it sometimes, which is saying a lot! The graphics are fantastic. The sound is great. Gameplay is relatively easy, but you can change settings and add disasters to make it more challenging. When it comes to keeping the campgrounds and the village in check, it is always easy. The safari itself is harder to manage because it's easy for the food web to get out of whack. Things seem to be going great until you notice that your elephants have killed like all of your trees and that one corner of your park is overrun by tons of monitor lizards or something. The game is also fun to watch. You can see the animals eating, chasing each other, and getting into herds. It's one of the best old sim games. It's cheap and its a fun diversion, so if you can get your hands on it, do!

"Still playing this in 2004", I don't have many Sim games, and you're bound to find a problem with all of them. By far, none of them are absoulute perfection. Sim Safari is not perfection, but the graphics are. There really is little to do once you set up your camp, you can maintain by hiring, placing more cars or whatever, but the Safari park is where all your attention will stay.

The animals are great, and I love creating them with the click of a button. I like seeing them herd and eat the grass and the birds fly. Again, the graphics are top notch.

I don't know any cheats, but I'm sure some are out there. I play this game on a flat panel imac G4 in OS 9.2 and it has worked fine for me. No crashes ever.

However, with all the Sim games, we should be able to see a lot more for the prices these games cost. For example, we should be able to see the campers drive through the safari instead of hearing them cheer off screen when you get to five stars. We should be able to zoom in through the camp, we should be able go inside the little houses we build for them, and the Sims should react more realistically. In the camp, most of them just walk back and forth aimlessly. Why don't they carry anything? Talk to each other? Something!

Electronic Arts, Maxis and Microsoft have the technology to give us all of this, especially if they want to charge $50 a game. Please.

I say, with all the Sim games, get them cheap off ebay or somewhere, never buy them brand new because they're not worth it because you do get bored, you just can't help it. That's the only reason I give it 4 stars, because we should be able to control the Sims down to the last detail and watch them anywhere and everywhere. If it's a god game, I want to zoom in and be able to watch them pee, eat and sleep.

Sim games are fantastic, but just get them cheap somewhere else, especially if you're buying for mac, prices for mac games are insane.

"SIM SAFARI ROCKS!!!", I'm a computer hog. My mom thinks I spend to much time on the computer. When I got Sim Safari it came in a game pack. Suprisingly, I really enjoyed it. You can:

1. check animal pop.
2. build a camp for incoming visitors
3. capture animals if pop. is to high

I gave this 4 stars because the camps barely have any people and the money goes away too fast! For ex. the amphitheater was $15,000! I still like playing the missions, like the one where you try to keep the cheetah pop. up! IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS AND THE SIMS OR OTHER SIM/TYCOON GAMES YOU WILL LOVE THIS! If not wait till it goes on sale!

"An fun and exciting teaching tool", Sim Safari is a challenging and engaging game for both young and old. The player has to manage wildlife, resources, workers and tourism to ensure a success. While it sounds complex, it is actually quite easy to perform the tasks (although winning is another story). There are various levels involved, so it continues to challenge players. You can create your own tourist site and safari area from scratch or deal with various scenarios from a high african hare population to poaching problems. The game also includes information about the species used in the game including how they are linked in the food web. I couldn't recommend it more highly, especially to those with children!

"Sim Safari was fun!", I really enjoy playing Sim Safari. While it's not an action game, it's relaxing to play.
The graphics are pretty nice ,and you actually learn a lot about predator-prey relationships and animal species.
Your mission: a successful safari park and camp. You design your own safari park and put animals, plants, rives, lakes, etc. in it. You also build an attractive camp for the villagers to stay in. Be sure to put in lots of attractions in so you'll have tourists filling it up. You'll also be doing a poor village a favor by hiring the needed amount of villagers to work in your camp. It's really a challenge to make sure that you balance the predator-prey relationships, put in enough plants to both feed herbivores and supply insects for insect-eaters, and be very successful. I currently have a very successful camp and 5-star safari park, so, no, it's not impossible to do. ^^
The missions are fun too and are quite a challenge. This game is worth every penny! I really recommend that you get this game! It's very relaxing and addicting.

"an OK game", i am 11 and this game is to hard for me and i DID NOT enjoy it!

"Somewhere on the veldt...", This game is cute--the graphics are good (better than some Sim games I've played--plenty of nifty animals with nice animated pictures in the information windows) and it's not too challenging. Young gamers will no doubt enjoy it immensely, though I found myself wishing there wasn't so much clicking involved in the statistics interface and that my three "advisors" had something more intelligent to say. It also would've been nice if my jeeps had stuck to those nice dirt roads I dug for them instead of getting marooned in the grass (hmm...no word from my ecologist on how many tourists devoured by lions...) The 4 missions are decently challenging, but more tasks would've made this a better game. Overall, not bad for a sim, but too simple.
