"Cheater Paradise ", The game was fun back in the day, but now-a-days novaworld doesnt give two @*#&s about their old games and just let them run wild; especially Delta Force 1, 2 and 3.

If you want to stay in the delta force series (fun) I'd suggest Black Hawk Down and/or Joint Operations - Typhoon Rising (basically Delta Force 5, but they changed the name).

Black Hawk Down is most similar to DF 1-3 and also has an expansion pack available called Team Sabre. Team Sabre opens up a whole new set of servers that are more focused on forest and urban playing and also unlocks 3 more guns (G36, psg-1 and G3). Lately BHD has been getting less and less Novaworld servers and there is talk stats will be shutting down completely before 2008.

Joint Operations is an extreme makeover of the Team Sabre expansion. The maps are HUGE and nearly everything was made from scratch. Updated graphics, gun models, human models, vehicle models, not to mention drivable boats, helicopters, trucks, buggies, etc.

If your mind is still set on the terrain type of Delta Force 1,2 or 3... Novalogic also came out with Delta Force X-treme. Its the exact same game almost except with updated graphics and drivable vehicles.

" Delta force 2", This game features alot of different missions. They can range from "quick missions" to "campaigns". If you ask me this game kicks butt! the only problem is it is 2006. The graphics are out dated, the novaworld servers are down. But if you go back to single player you have probaly over 40 different levels and they can range from gettting a code book to blowing up a convoy to rescuing pows to saving pilots! and those are just quick missions!! I gave it a 4 because its a fun game! it's for 13 and older but i have been playing it since I was 8 and haven't stopped! But I would suggest if you are going to get this game don't, get another novalogic game though.Probably a game like Joint operations combined arms!

"I think I just wasted some money", I bought this game at a fairly low price, and when I started playing, I was totally amazed - at the incredibly bad graphics.

The game featured a basic HUD with two annoyingly large bars, placed above and below it. That was the first thing I noticed. Next I saw that the terrain was sort of fuzzy, and my gun wasn't all that impressive either.

"OK...," I said to myself. "Why don't I try walking around and see if this gets any better?" So I did. Guess what? No gun sway! Every stinkin FPS game I've every seen had some sort of movement with the gun (Ok, maybe not Wolfenstein 3d, but still!).

So, anyway, I tried firing the gun - barely any recoil at all. I tried a pistol just to see if the hammer would pull back but it did not.

Anywayz terrible graphics = boring game. Enough said

"Two different Games in one", The first of these games are the single player campaign missions which while fun ranger from easy to really really easy. The enemy A.I is at its best lackluster and at worse totally moronic. To tell you truth I never bothered much with the single player missions.

The 2nd game which totally kicks butt and gets you your money's worth is the multplayer part. Anyone who is a fan of Red Faction or Halflife will love this game.

On-line it is a total slaughter-fest even though the community has shrank n recent years as people have gone on to either the DF sequals or something else simply to combat the rise in cheating. The other versions of the game did a much better of keeping the cheaters out.

Overall-Still all in all I just love this game

"Bad Graphics", Let me start by saying that I'm a loyal Delta Force (DF) player. I've played every one in the series so far. This is the only game in the series that I've regretted purchasing.

DF1 was a software-rendered game. It didn't rely on OpenGL (hardware) and other stuff like that. DF2, on the other hand, is the first OpenGL game in the series. It seems very dark and kind of slow. Maybe it works better on some video cards, but it didn't work that well on my TNT2.

I'd recommend getting Land Warrior (DF3), which also has hardware support, but none of the issue of DF2. Or, get one of the newer ones in the series. As of the time of this writing, Black Hawk Down (DF5) is what I'm currently playing (and the newest in the series).

"Some good parts, but overall unimpressed", I picked up this game and I am not particularly impressed. The only real improvements to the game are the additions of rain/snow, bogs, and more fiery explosions than the first DF. Still, it remains unexciting.

There is no end mission body count and aftermath reading like there was in the first DF; you just get put back on the map when you beat a mission. Furthermore, if you win the campaign, you simply win the campaign. There aren't even any messages letting you know you beat it. Also, there is a horrible shortage of missions. When I found out about the new underwater assault rifle and pistol in this game, I was excited and prepared myself for some Navy SEAL-type missions. However, there are no missions that require the use of these weapons, and likewise there are also no missions that require the use of the underwater rebreather. Just as well, there are no missions that require the use of the video camera (I don't know why they added this one, it's no substitute for extra ammo or a Kevlar vest).

There are some good features added, such as the ability to blow up tents and watch the smoke billow from them, but this didn't really save the game. It needs more missions and it shouldn't add unnecessary gear to really be worthy of more stars.

"The best game I have ever played......NOT !", Get it through your head THIS GAME stinks First of all the graphics suck,boring gameplay(I usually like realistic military games), coudn't acess campaign, takes forever to install.I would give this game 0 stars. I just bought it about 1 hour ago played it for 15 min. and then got bored... Try the Unreal series , half life or rainbow 6

"Why this isn't so bad of a game", If you buy Delta Force 2 as a realistic war game, you will be more than disapointed. There are many things wrong with the game, like being able to see a body lying on the floor above you. Also, the most annoying glitch is that enemies can often shoot you through solid objects.

Now that most of the bad stuff is out of the way, this is still an enjoyable game, as long as your not a tech freak who moans about every little thing not real. The single player in Delta Force 2 is for the most part enjoyable. The AI is rather stupid, so instead of hard AI you get lots ans lots of stupid AI. But, it is still good fun that strays away from the standard shoot anything that moves approach. There are many missions that you need to proceed unnoticed for a good amount of time. Also, if you try to run into an enemy base and kill things, you will die. You need to be able to snipe from a distance.

In the startup menu, you can select quick missions. These are about 20 unrelated missions that you dont need to play lengthy campaighns to get to.

Now for the best part of this game and the reason you should buy it, the multiplayer. The Multiplayer is very good, with standard type games like deathmatch, team deathmacth, king of the hill, and several more. You can play LAN or via Novaworld. Novaworld is very reliable and most games run smoothly. Multiplayer takes away stupid AI and gives you a difficult challenge. Multiplayer maps give benifits to all types of players by providing sniper nest, bunkers, buildings, and mounted weponry. Muliplayer is really a fun experience.

Delta Force 2 is a good game overall. The glitches that occur are ones that look bad visually, but i haven't had any gameplay errors at all. If you freak out about small things, you probably wont like this game, but for the rest of us, this is a great game and is worth buying.

"Delta Force 2 a good purchase for those bored with Rainbow 6", Delta Force 2 is, in my opinion, the best of the DF-series. For those who have played the original, DF2 has numerous features its predecessor was lacking. Many structures, such as storage tanks and armories, are destructable, and cause a large fireball when hit by a LAW rocket or fragmentation grenade. Speaking of frag grenades, DF2 has two types: impact or delayed-detonation. This will be a welcome change for those who blew themselves to pieces when their impact-fused grenades landed short of their target. Numerous weapons have been added, including two underwater "guns" and a 12-gauge shotgun mounted on an M4 carbine. The levels are well done; my favorite is one where after designating targets on the opposite side of a river for artillery strikes, the player "must" commandeer a deserted gunboat, take it across the river, and mop-up the remaining enemy forces. But DF2 does have some flaws. The game still uses the same, unattractive Voxel graphics its predecessor had. Direct3D support is promised, but when activated, it only worsens the quality of the graphics. The game has severe clipping problems, and players will often find parts of their avatar's body "ghosting" through apparently solid objects. The box promises the ability to "terrorize the terrorists with...fixed machine gun and grenade-launcher emplacements", but they are apparently impossible to use, and very hard to find. Aside from these niggling flaws, DF2 is money well spent for the action gamer looking for a quick-fix!

"ONE OF THE BEST GAME EVER!!!!", ROCKS!ROCKS!ROCKS!One of the best ways to spend your money. By far it must be one of the best shooters ever, it has the best multiplayer action, there is a MissionEditor, and the best thing of all is all the levels there are. This is one to get now!
