"Good gameplay, so-so graphics and poor acting"
The gameplay and the puzzles are just fine, if a bit confusing (but hey, if I understood everything right away, it would be too easy.) The graphics are a bit disappointing (compared to Riven and Myst 3: Exile.) The worst thing about the game is the poor acting (especially the obviously fake accents) of the people you come in contact with. The characters are shallow, unrealistic, and stereotypical.

However, this is a game you play for the puzzles, and the puzzles are fun. Moving around the manipulating things is easy, which is a real plus. Overall, I recommend this game if you can get it at a good price (i.e., it's a fun game and worth your money, but not a must-play like Riven.)

"Inspiring visuals for the virtual tourist"
This game is a little gem, although it does get off to a rocky start. The background for the story (with the aliens and spaceships) is silly and cartoonish. Fortunately, it does not last long, because the meat of the game--visiting the beautifully rendered legendary civilizations--is fantastic and totally absorbing. I loved how you could interact with other characters and how, with the aid of the special suit, you could eavesdrop into their cultures. How about more games like this--where you are a traveler and explorer rather than a warrior? This game has no violence, by the way, so parents and pacifists should have no problem with it. Also, the puzzles are fairly easy to solve. I was okay with this, because I didn't have to keep leaving the game to phone the cheating hotline, as I had to do with Zork Nemesis, Myst, and Riven. If a challenge is what you are seeking, however, look elsewhere. Same goes for you warrior wannabes. This game is for virtual travel hounds, like me, who like their visuals grand and their challenges mild.

"The Best of Them Yet!"
This Journeyman Project game is the best yet. However, this may be due to the fact that we have made extreme advancements in technology.

A 360-degree view let's you pan aorund your entire world. The scenery of past civilizations really is quite beutiful. Presto Studios did a wonderful job on the 3D portion of this game. This game allows the player to interact with other characters in the game. It allows you to choose from a choice of things to say. The extensive inventory allows you to carry several items at once from multiple time zones. The chameleon suit (added bonus!) allows the player to deiguise himself/herself as any character it meets. All of the guises are conviniently located at the bottom of the screen. This truly is a wonderful game!

"A Must Have!"
Wow! This game is by far my favorite GA. The story line and hours of immersive gameplay are enough to hook even the most hard-core gamer. The 360-viewer is amazing when viewing the incredible graphics of lost civilizations. It can be a little glitchy at first, but if you mess with the options panel, it runs extremely well. And the price! You'd have to be crazy not to want this game!

"It's OK"
This game is very easy. Only one "puzzle" was even remotely challenging, and this means that it took me about an hour to retrace my steps and find the object I was looking for. The graphics ARE beautiful and other game designers would be smart to use in their games the QuickTime VR technology that is found in #3 -- this makes it seem more realistic. However, I found this game very limited and a bit boring. I found myself often wanting more; the "world" seemed too small and limited. The characters had no personality, nor did they do anything other than their 1 given task and "talking" with you. The best game in the series is #2, and it is VERY good. In fact, it is one of the best games in this genre that I've ever played, although I really enjoyed Full Throttle and Curse of Monkey Island (Lucas Arts). #2 is VERY hard, but the "walkthrough" mode that comes with the game is entertaining.

"Presto has achieved Perfection!!!", This is the third and final of the Journeyman Project Trilogy. And what a way to end it all. First of all the plot was most impressive. The graphics were amazing, 9.5/10! In this game, unlike the others, you get to interact with characters. I loved this game. It is and always will be my favorite. Enjoy!
P.S. Presto Studios was making a Journeyman Project 4, but the crappy thing is they got bought out and J4 will never be.

"Just plain enjoyable to play", This game is just a pleasure to play. One of the few computer games where the plot (although very unrealistic--it involves science-fiction-like time travel, etc) is actually well thought-through, very logical, and self-supporting. The actors aren't exactly Oscar material, but they're not tremendously bad (as in some games). The puzzles are a part of the game, rather than a sepcific "puzzle" that must be solved to open a door or find a new location or something. The sidekick, Arthur, I found a nice little addition. In the first place, despite the fact that many of his jokes aren't that funny, it's nice to feel like you've got company throughout the game. In the second place, the historical trivia he shares is really fascinating (at least to me). In the third place, he can actually help you if you're getting stuck--a nice feature that all games should have in some capacity. Finally, unlike many annoying features of many other games, you can turn him off if you don't like him.
All in all, the game is quite enjoyable, especially the fantastic scenery and graphics.
Buy it and play it is my recommendation!

"This was FUN!", I really liked this game. In "Legacy of Time", you are a time traveler who discovers a disturbing bit of information--aliens appeared on Earth at three points in history, destroying three legendary cities and three powerful objects. One of these objects was kept in each city, and only by using them can Earth fend off a new alien attack. You have to go to Atlantis, El Dorado, and Shangri-La to find those relics, rescue them from the cities' destruction, and return them to your own time. The scenery is pretty and the plot engaging; I actually found myself feeling sorry for characters whenever the game required me to steal from them or deceive them--and then feeling even worse when I realized they'd all be dead the next day and there was nothing I could do about it, since I was forbidden to change time other than stealing the relics. I also enjoyed the puzzles and problem-solving. I've seen games where the puzzles were way too contrived and unrealistic, and wouldn't really solve the problem at hand. (I'm recalling a game where you had to rig up a complex machine, involving toilet paper tubes and Gods only know what else, to brew A CUP OF TEA.) In this game, the puzzle elements make sense. Add some cool mythological stuff, and you've got an addictive little game.

"Great Game", Second only to Riven on my list. Engrossing, satisfying, challenging. The only minus was an annoying midget [?] with a high-pitched voice who was supposed to help. I kept him turned off most of the time. He sounded a lot like Dennis Miller.

"A must by for those who love a good story", I have not played the previous 2 games in the series, but I loved this game. No bugs, easy to install, and alot of fun. I really liked the fact that you could get as many clues as you needed to solve a problems. The Trilogy is on my shipping list =)

"BEAUTIFUL HISTORY", This game uplifted my perception of history and humanity. The stories are intricately done each weaving into a single tapestry greater than the sum of the parts. It plays very well. Some reviewers have complained about the ending. It was very appropriate. As the monks in Shangri-la might say: It not the destination that makes the journey worth while. And in this case, getting there is ALL THE FUN.

"Finally-- a game with intrigue AND amazing graphics", I have been waiting a long time for a game like this to come along. This game has all the stunning graphics and mystery of Myst and Riven, but with several wonderful changes. First, we are traveling through three 'legendary' cities in Earth's history with a PURPOSE. One of the great pitfalls of Myst was that you were constantly wondering exactly what you were doing. Also, Arthur, who is a robot that is constantly with you, provides hints ONLY if you think you need them. He also gives interesting historical facts about the places you visit. The sound in this game is amazing. It really does seem like you are walking through the snow, and you can hear the wind whistling through the cavern. This game is wonderful in all aspects, and holds a moral that everyone deserves to hear. I'd recommend it to anyone of any age looking for exciting gameplay

""Legacy" of great storytelling", Without doubt, "Legacy of Time" is one of the very best adventure games I've ever played.

The graphics are stunning, especially in the DVD version. The puzzles are difficult enough to be challenging, but not so impossible as to put you off playing the game. Far from the uninhabited worlds that some adventure games offer, this has a varied cast of characters who need to be thoroughly investigated before puzzles can be answered. The game interface (you wear a 'chameleon suit' which allows you to steal the likeness of every person you meet) is so clever, you quickly become immersed in the process of interviewing the same person with each different 'face' in your inventory. Getting these varied perspectives on the unfolding story is a key to solving the final puzzles. This is perhaps the closest you'll come to being able to actually being the writer of a story and seeing it from the POV of all your major characters.

More than that, though, it's an excellent family value. While it can be played strictly for its adventures and puzzles (all of which rely on communication and investigative skills), an 'enhanced' mode can be turned on which give players a great history lesson about the three real life ancient cultures being explored here.

This is probably the only game I've ever played where I wanted to actually buy earlier members of the series so that I could see how the plot had deveoloped.

Pick it up now while it's cheap!

"Interesting gameplay", Journeyman Project 3 was a wonderful game to play. The 3-D graphics were beautiful (DVD version), the movies interesting and the story was easy to understand. The mysteries were relatively easy to figure out without too much help. All the levels or time zones were interconnected which was a great feature. Another great feature was a tiny biot named Arthur who helped you through the game but only if you needed help. I plan to purchase the first two Journeyman games in the 3 game pack. The only problem I had with the game is it was too short.

"Fun Searching", In general, it was fun playing this game. The best part was in playing different faces and searching for the right stuff to feed the statues. However, I found it boring to listen to all the "teaching" which was not essential to the game.
