Cretures 3 is great!Be careful about grendels. They can kill your Norns. If you create more than six woulds a wourld will go down.Click on arrows to reach it.IT I`s a pain installing but i`s wourth it! It also needs connpatibillidy.Buy Cretures 3 and other creatures games. It needs a user manual. I like this game because I like annimals plants and any Cretures.

"Wow!!! Love this game!"
This is the best game ever! By the way, norns are WAY hardier than belived and with a watchfull eye they can thrive easily.

Hint: If you're worried about grendels, just get 2 eggs before they hatch and put them in water! No more grendels!

I think the medical pod is really cool, you can see if your norn is sick, and then you can help it. The machines are really cool too, you can connect them to make super machines to help you or your norns.

Overall, this is a really cool game, and should get it!

"Possible best game ever!"
You might look at Creatures 3 and think "for babies" or "how stupid is THAT!" that is not true. this is possibly the best game ever, not excluding Star Wars Jedi Knight 2, or Star Trek Elite Force. This was my third Creatures game, the first (Creatures Playground) was a little young, Creatures 2 the second was kinda pitiful (don't buy that one), but this one blows them out of the water. The peaceful, explorer norns have left there home world in a shee ship, but it was ambushed by the grendels, and the shee went to the planet, leaving the norns to fend for themselves- with your help. The ettins are engineers that, for some reason, take all the stuff to there terrarium. The grendels are villans, bullies, and almost vicious-looking. They, for some reason, take all the norns and attack them.
The ship is full fledged, with a bridge, engineering section, Norn terrarium (green grass, trees, a pond, and a learning center. I use the learning center to stash stuff like the ettins) ettin terrarium (desert, with a volcano) Jungle terrarium (grendels, jungle and pirahnas) Aquatic terrarium (kind of a hobbie center, a garden, or maybe a off duty lounge). A hint: when you find the control for the grendels and ettins, throw the grendel in one of the airlocks and just shut the door.

I don't reccomend this if you don't have much time, but if you do the price would be worth it up to $$.

"Wonderful, only a few minor flaws"
Creatures 3 is beautiful! The creatures now talk to each other instead of just talking to you or themselves (I never played Creatures 2, so I don't know how good it was in terms of things I will mention here), the creatures have an enormous vocabulary, and the machines make the game more realistic because it eliminates the need for butons that do everything. Also the environment with the multitude of critters which mate and interact with the creatures and each other adds another dimention to gameplay.

However there are a few elements I found troublesome. There is an upgrade available in the game for the hand that lets you pick up the creatures, and with the help of another upgrade grendels and ettins. This means that you have total control over mating and the lives and deaths of the grendels. If you want, you can stick the grendels in with the paranhas or in the recycler and get rid of them, which makes them increadibly pointless, except for the gene splicer (which I have not yet tried).

Overall, just get the game if you like games like this. It is true to life, and absolutely wonderful. The amazing graphics and sound effects add so much to the game, and you will be amazed at the way your creatures act, perhaps even feeling somewhat upset when a grendel kills one of the norns. This game will last me years as I do the multitude of possible things Mindscape has made possible.

"The Creatures"
Creatures 3 takes place on a spaceship. You have to care for the Norns by defending them from the Grendels. The Ettins have a habit of stealing machinery. Your job is to breed and raise the Norns to being capable of caring for themselves.

"Mind numbing and frustrating", I really wanted to like this game. I've owned it for several years (and never played it) and with the upcoming Spore, I really wanted to sate my need for some fun AI entertainment. Sadly, this simply was not it.

The premise for a great game is here. This is a game that takes a lot of patience. And I mean a LOT.

Starting out - if you plan to use the native interface rather than a cheat code to teach your Norns how to speak, be prepared for a lot of clicking on everything on the screen, over and over and over for each norn.

Now onto the "game" part. Scattered around the ship are various power-ups that you'll need your creatures to retrieve. Spend a bit of time getting these gathered up and... now what?

From here, it becomes an exercise in tedium. Because ultimately, this is a game that has no real goal. You'll have to set the goal yourself from a limited number of options.

Your creatures do think, but their needs are similar to those of a two-year-old. If you have a custom agent that produces food, 90% of your creatures will live directly next to this agent for the duration of the game, stuffing their faces and chittering constantly.

In the end, I could not even complete my own goal without extreme frustration. All I wanted was for my creatures to mate and have lots of babies. But making this happen seemed like an exercise in futility. I spent hours trying to find the perfect mating conditions. I dropped my 10 norns in a big norn orgy and encouraged them to kiss each other. I moved two norns out by themselves to a secluded island retreat and encouraged them to kiss each other. I moved small groups of female and a male norns out, fed them fertility potions every minute, and encouraged some group smooching. I spent hours trying to turn my norns into breeding machines, but they are stubborn little buggers. I only squeezed out a few measly pregnancies after hours of efforts.

Finally, I was very frustrated at the overall lack of information. Far too often, a creature just up and dies. Well, once it's dead, it's too late to glean any information about WHY. Did it starve? Was it cold? Did it catch bacteria? Who knows - it's dead, and there's no autopsy. Before it dies, you'll just have to hope that you can magically tell that its sick. Sometimes the norn will tell you it's ill - otherwise you'll just have to read its limited facial expression, or spend a lot of time zooming over it with the Medical reader to see if you need to send it to the sick bay. That's not really very difficult to do, but I prefer a bit more explicit emoting when a creature is not well, instead of having to guess. And when a seemingly well creature simply dies, it's very frustrating to not know why it happened.

In summary, I had the following issues:
1) Unclear information about my norn's inner workings
2) Limited actions/intelligence in the AI
3) Lack of goals (which is fine if you love a completely open sandbox game)

"C3 is the most awesome game I have ever played!", Thousands of years ago, the Shee created three species. They were norns, ettins, and grendels. Norns are adorable things that look like a mix between a puppy, a kitten, and a mouse. Ettins are creatures that love heat and will steal machinery, so lock it up! Last but not least, my favorite, the grendels! Sure, they kill norns and ettins, but I think they're cute! Don't underestimate them, though! I suggest you use downloads From the websites www.creaturescaves.com and www.creatures.amberz.net to protect your creatures! Now for a history lesson ;). Creatures 1 & 2, took place on Albia, a planet wich is, well, literalty flat. Creatures 3, however, takes place on a spaceship called the Shee Ark. The Shee left Albia, searching for a more spherical home (dumb reason to leave your old planet, eh?). That was centuries ago. This is now. You've discovered the Shee Ark. The fate of the norns, ettins, and grendels is in your hands now. If you want to know any aditional info, go to http://creatures.wikicities.com/wiki/Main_Page.

"Cute Game", I must admit this version of Creatures completely blew away the other two. I loved the other two as well but, to an extent. You couldn't controll the norns or grendals as well as you can in this game. In fact, you can literally pick them up and move them around with you mouse after activating a certain device.
(This helps with saving them from drowning, or falling into a trap, or being injured or killed any other way.)

There is no blood in the game, but if you happen to accidentally feed a creature to the pirannah, little bones will fly about... Norns, the creatures you start out with are very cute, and can teach their children volcabulary, if you teach them enough. (The ancient stone helps a lot) However, it would be nicer if there were more combinations of coloring and patterning in the breeds... their offspring get a little repetative.

One can also learn a little chemestry, using Antibodies and Antihistamines to cure illness with the chem lab, and learn what diseases each grendel, norn, and ettin can become infected with.

The enviornment surrounding each creatures habitat in also interesting to study and interact with- though it's hard to keep them separated when they become a certain age. One can introduce new fish and help other spieces of fish thrive in the ocean layer, or throw a few pirranah in and watch them take over the tank. You can create new shades of rainbow shark, and help the hog survive in the norn's home area. watch a baby hummingbird grow, try to save the freshwater fish.

Overall, it's a real great game- you can replay with a different scenerio, splice ettins and grendels together, or ignore them and play with the ecosystem. n.n

"Best Creatures yet", This game blows away the previous versions! And can be docked to "Docking Station" for a huge combined world where norns can roam freely throughout cyberspace. Totally addictive and absolutely a blast!

"THIS GAME IS THE BEST", I bought this game when I was 9 years old. It became my favorite game. In the game you have to take care of norns, ettins or grendels(you decide!)
You can breed norns and ettins in the same world together, of course you can also have grendels there, but the problem may be, that the grendels can sometimes kill norns and ettins, so I recommend to breed grendels in separate world. The fan-made addons all around the internet make the game much more interesting to play! Norns are cute, so are ettins(they've became my favorite breed, lately) and (suprise!)I also think that grendels are cute! I highly recommend this game to everyone above the age of 8.

"ONE OF THE BEST CREATURES GAMES!", I got the the original creatures 1 game. I thought it was fun but a little to hard. I heard about creatures 2 and thought it would be better. I was Looking for it online and found Creatures 3 and imeaditly wanted to try it out.The graphics will blow your mind even though all the creatures make the same noises they always have.I got it in the mail and started playing. I was quickly hooked. I couldn't stop playing. The game is overall a wonderfully made A.I. System game!!!

"The science is obscure, but complex and complete.", The engine in Creatures 3 (and the free addon/demo game Docking Station) for the creatures you must take care of is based on a complex system of biochemistry and neurology, and just about every major biological proccess in a real animal's body is accurately modeled. Although some, like respiration and, yes, elimination (good thing we don't see that, really ...) are not immediately appearant in the game, they are there. Creatures learn from their mistakes and other actions and use them in the future to better survive. C3 and DS also model genetics, and as creatures reproduce, they mutate and through selective breeding a player can create entirely new breeds of their creatures for their hardiness, personality or looks.

"Creatures 3 a game or is it for real that is the question", First of all like everyone else I'd like to say the graphics are superb !I just got the game a little while ago and I have to say I have enjoyed it. I'm more or less stuck in the game though because my norns and I were doing pretty good I was taking care of them, learning how to communicate when grendels found there way inside my world after a while my norn learned to defend itself and killed a few grendels but many of my norns were badly hurt one of my favorites named Freddy is intensly ill and I still have not be able to find the medical bay. Then ettins broke in and started trying to steal my machines and my baby norns turned up M I S S I N G. I went to the crypt to check if any norns died without me knowing . They didn't die just turned up M I S S I N G! Don't get me wrong it all it is a very creative and neat game . But it's not like Creatures Adventures or Creatures Playground . Those games are all about having fun and your norns die because of old age not because of another creature. It's either you train the norns to fight the grendels are the grendels hurt your norns sometimes even kill them. The it's a bit violent because the grendels hurt your norns and that's why I rated it four stars instead of five. Once again it's a great game just more for ages 9 and up. But I recommend you buy I gurantee you'll have fun!

"GOT OLD FAST", IT wasnt that great when i got it and i still dont like it its a dumb game DONT BUY IT!

"Creatures 3", Is really really fun at first, then the fun dies down and gets boring. Need to go to http://www.creatures3.com to download more stuff, and then its fun again :o)
