"Excellent Headphones", I purchased the MDR-V600 years ago and I love them. They were not labled "studio headphones" at the time. They are light, comfortable, and give a full rich sound. I've had my pair for more than a decade and they've held up perfectly with standard use. I missed 4 phone calls already today listening to music with them so I would have to agree that there is very little outside sound intrusion. These headphones are worth the money for both comfort and excellent sound but they were not originally sold as full studio headphones.

"plug went bad",
From the start had to fiddle with plug to get good sound.
At first, I thought it was the computer jack, but as time
went on it got worse and worse. Did some experimenting
and determined it was definitely loose wiring in the plug.

You spend this kind of money you at least expect it to be
manufactured well. I'm done with Sony. I've had other bad
experiences recently, they just aren't what they used to be.

"Wonderful headphones.", I produce electronic music as a hobby and these headphones have served me very well over the past few weeks. It remains to be seen how well they will hold up over time, but thus far my experience has been wonderful. The sound quality with these is very good and has had the added bonus of making things a bit easier on my ears: the sound is clear and other sounds are sealed out effectively enough that I can do what I do with the volume turned down. This has cut down on the fatigue I feel after spending a few hours on a track.

Highly recommended.

"Great headphones!", Great headphones for the price period!
I can now hear sounds that was never heard before, almost like studio quality headphones without the price.
I would recomend them to anyone looking for something great without the high price.

I love these. The sound is so clear - they sound great even turned up very loud (they have the capability to go much louder than I could ever stand) Vocals are super clear, while the subtlety of the other instruments and little bell sounds and stuff on the tracks can be heard very well. Nice bass also.

I am like "the princess and the pea" when it comes to comfort, and THESE THINGS ARE SUPER COMFORTABLE!! I can hardly feel them. I wear glasses, and other headphones pressed my glasses against my head which hurts, these don't.

I don't think they mention it in the product description, but they do cancel alot of ambient noise -- my phone just rang, and I totally did not hear it with these on my head. Soooo.... I highly recommend these.

At first... thought that I had purchased a headset with the wrong connector. Out of the box it had a big plug in for an amp. I thought I saw on the website that it came with a iPodable connection. I was ready to call Sony and find out if I was missing someting, when low and behold I discovered that the large connector simply screwed off to reveal the connector that I needed and wanted.
