"Best for the money, and then some."
I've compared these ear buds to Shure e2c's, ($50-60), and Creative Zen Auravana's, ($60-100), and found them better than the Shure's and almost as good as the Auravana's in certain ways, and better in other ways, (the bass on the Auravana's is too thumping, and cable noise is worse than the Koss). They're just plain astounding - especially for the money. If you want to buy something that beats all three, get the Creative EP-830's. Incredible sound that just barely beats these little Koss buds - but they're $50. For the money, the Koss can't be beat, period.

"quality review"
First off the product was not very expensive so i knew what i was paying for. The sound quality was just fine for what i am using them for, but they are not very comfortable. other than that i have no complaints.

"This is my second pair and the left ear plug goes out. Beware!"
I have bought these before and had the left ear plug go out after 5 months. Koss has a lifetime replacement guarantee so i returned them and after 7 months with my new ones the same thing happened. For the price its not bad but be warned you get what you pay for.

"Great introduction to in-ear monitors"
I've been using Koss headphones for decades and the Plug continues to deliver that traditional "Koss" sound. The Plug is an inexpensive way to try get into the "in-ear" monitor area of headphones. They are comfortable to wear and deliver killer bass along with great mids and highs. I bought these for my son because he won't use anything else, including a pair of $400 Shure monitors I offered him. Give 'em a try. For $10, you can't go wrong.
One complaint though. Koss products are almost impossible to buy in Canada. Sure would like to see them establish a retail presence here again.

"Very good headphones for the price"
I've bought these headphones recently and I'm very satisfied. As a drummer I needed some in-ear monitoring headphones and I got stuck with these. Very comfortable for my ears (soft cushions) and it dampens surroundings very much which is exactly what I wanted. The sound is good, not excellent but like I said, I use it only when I play. Highly recommended.

What our customer's say!

"Disappointing!", Not worth even the twelve bucks...the buds I got for $2 on my last plane ride have as good a sound and are more comfortable.

"Excellent Isolation, Terrible Cord", Note: I received a a black model. Also, they are ported (holes on the outside of the housing to allow pressure transfer, but which don't seem to diminish noise isolation.

Pro: The noise isolation with these is great: The eartips are the squishy foam, just like Hearos and other earplugs. The result is a really good seal with your ear canal. When riding the bus or walking around, I am able to turn my iPod down from 50-70% volume to around 10-20%. It's a huge difference.

Con: The cord is composed of a spongy, grippy rubber. It's the perfect material to use on those dashboard grips you see advertised, where you put something on it (like a cell-phone) and it stays put. However, for a cord it's annoying, as it prevents you from wrapping it, and it just feels stiff and icky. The cord also transfers a lot of vibration noise to your ears when you are in motion. Maybe this is normal for all ear-canal headphones? I don't have enough experience with them. It's my guess that a less stiff, springy material might have been better.
Solution: run the cord for one ear over the back of your neck (if your neck is small enough) as it will reduce the pull on your ears.

"I dont like", I like:
- Quality sound.
I do not like:
- Easily drop of my ears
- I have to squeeze hard to fix the ear and it bothers.

"Great noise blockers!", I have started working out, and other headphones would fall out of my ears ~ these stayed in perfectly, and blocked the gym music and other gym noises. Plug into my iPod and get lost in my music ~ and comfy also!
No falling out during crunches or jogging, earbuds stay in place.

"Good sound quality, very comfortable, very affordable... what more do you want?", If you can get past the Frankenstein look when you have these things plugged into your ears, you will love these. They're actually very comfortable when you put them in because of the memory foam style pads. If you have a smaller earhole like mine that don't hold the typical hard plastic style earplugs all that well, these are the ones you want to get. I've fallen asleep with these on plenty of times they were so comfortable, & not once did I have the soreness that I get in my ear that I get with some other style earplugs. Sound quality is nice, especially the bass which is not too thumping but nice & crisp, which is the way I like it. Don't expect audiophile quality sound but for the price you will be more than happy with these.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"I love these little gems!", These are great little headphones for the price. They're just like foam earplugs. There is a proper way to squish and insert earplugs, believe it or not. Most people just press a couple times without any thought and shove. You have to "roll" these between your fingertips really well, evenly, over and over. If you don't, they will expand too fast and you'll have trouble, especially when new. The more you use them, the better they get until the foam finally breaks down and you go to the replacement foam. I only use these when traveling and they knock down the noise down from planes, considerably. These are your best bet for the money. Ignore the reviewers that state that their double and triple priced headphone are better. DUH!!! What would you expect!!! If you buy a car for 10,000 don't expect 20,000 or 30,000 dollar features and performance. Someone actually compared these to 80 dollar Shure headphones!!! Also, any self-proclaimed, pretentious, audiophile that buys these for 10 bucks and expects audiophile performance is just being ridiculous. Come back to Earth, please. I have used these on all forms of media and have yet to be disappointed. They will definitely show the flaws in any recordings because the sound is isolated and aimed directly at your eardrum. This is one reason I would NEVER give it to a little kid. If you like to save space on your Ipod and go with a low quality setting, your mistake will be painfully obvious. It will also be painfully obvious when you listen to the some of the cheap/low quality recordings and incompetent audio engineers of late.

These will not fit everybody's ears on the entire planet!

"Koss protable headphones", Product is great, but supplier is a cheat. Charged $5.40 each for 4 headphone sets but then added $23.90 S+H making order total $45.86
even though supplier stated they charge only $2.50 per order which means the total should have been $24.46.

Good luck trying emailing supplier to get resolution. Good luck.

"Decent sound, great earplugs", The sound is decent, though if you're willing to spend 20 times more, you're bound to do better. Bass is mushy, mid-range and treble are very good. The earbud is a very snug fit in my ear (and the package includes several sizes of earbuds that should guarantee a good fit for most people). The rubber material is very soft, so to mold them to your ear, you squeeze them down with your fingers, then insert into your ear, and the earbuds will then expand back to completely fill your ear canal.

The earbuds function as earplugs with the sound off or low, so although they are not "noise cancelling", they do a good job of reducing ambient noise on, say, long airplane rides. You can use them instead of airline-supplied headphones, though they are so efficient that you may not be able to turn the volume down low enough.

All in all, the price-performance is excellent. You won't have to worry if your cat decides to eat the earbuds (as mine did - which is why I'm buying a few extra pairs just now).

"Finally, an earphone, earbud or whatever that WORK's !!!! ", Not a lengthy review. Just my 2ยข to tell everyone who's curious about
these KOSS "Plug's" as I was a week ago.

Very comfy in my ear. Stay put w/o falling-out.
GREAT sound, deep bass & I still hear the highs too.
Brings my mp3 player "ALIVE" at last.
The free extra set of "rubber/foam" tips is great!
Mine came in "BLACK", although any of the available colors
look great IMO.

I started to buy the newer version of the KOSS earplugs
called the "SparkPlug", but after reading alot of user
reviews, opted to buy these instead.

They are well worth the $14. Don't hesitate if you're considering this
brand. They have a LIFETIME guarantee (no questions asked).
You'll be glad you got them...

Hard to believe that some other brands sell for upwards of several hundred dollars.
They simply CAN'T sound much (if ANY) better than these do. PERIOD

"Good Headphones", I like these headphones because they fit and stay in my ears a lot better than the ipod factory headphones. I don't claim to be a sound expert, but these headphones sound great to my untrained ear. I would definately recomend the headphones to anyone who likes to be active while listening to music, such as exercising, or doing chores around the house.
