"Anticlimactic.", This has to be the most horribly produced game from Sierra I've ever played. The storyboard artists and creators must have been off their rocker. The graphics were pretty, the battles were somewhat exciting, but the delivery fell completely short. The combat and stats were horribly unbalanced, to the point where when I played the game the first time, I found it extremely difficult, and the second time I played it, it was a breeze just because I spent time levelling my characters up. The voice acting was mediocre. The story sounds promising in the beginning, especially with this series' reputation, but it finds itself to be completely anticlimactic in the end. So if you like pretty graphics and good music only in a game, pick this one up perhaps. But I'd rather just throw Lord of the Rings in my DVD player, because this is a sore excuse for a game or a story.

"NOT HAPPY", Wish I could write a review on Return to Krondor.But thats not what you sent me. The book Krondor the Betrayal that you sent me is green in color and looks good on my shelf. The video game in the back of the book says it has Return to Krondor and Betrayal at Krondor on it.But it doesn't. You have my money and I have your JUNK.

"good game", good game, great battles, but ends too quick. Its funner taking your time and finding fights in the first 3 chapters and getting better and getting better gear. Dissapoining ending, last boss was way easier than he should have been. I enjoyed it for 15 bucks

"Fun game, dissaponiting ending", don't get me wrong it is a cool game the battles are great and i like the story line, but the ending was short and quick. did not know i beat it tell the cridts were roling. i paied 20 dollers for it and i thought it was worth it. i injoyed the game while it lasted.

"SLLLOOOOOOWWWWW", I got this game from a freind for free awhile back. The graphics are pritty good but the character movements are EXTREMELY slow. The characters walk all the time. The battles are pritty lame too because all of the movements are slow. In my opinion its not even worth getting for free, which is how I got it.

"Fun one to work through", This game is more of a story than a game. As an RPG game, it is quite linear in plot. There are not as many subplots and/or different endings as other role playing type games. However, there is a tight story being told throughout the game.

Fans of the fantasy book series this game is based on will find many things familiar here, as well as see some places more fully explored. Also, in the Feist style, the characters you see are gripping and memorable.

All in all, this is kind of an interactive movie rather than a game. There is a great story being told here.

"A Great Game", Sierra must be clearing this game out of its warehouse, becausethere are suddenly a lot of copies of this game at stores for 10 bucks a pop. It's a good thing, since I wouldn't have discovered this great game if it weren't so cheap.

A previous reviewer accurately descibed this game as an "interactive story with RPG elements." It thus succeeds primarily because the story is so compelling. Combat is also fun, with lots of different weapons, spells, potions, and magical items to use, as well as a good variety of opponents. The game also looks and sounds great...

"You need to play it more than once to appreciate it", I played the game three times and only on the third time found it in me to deviate from the path the plot was forcing on me and explore around a bit. The reward was unexpected: the game has a lot more plot than originally appears, you just need to poke around Krondor a little bit in the first three chapters. Although mildly frustrating, I found it also somehow appealing that all the little sub-plots were so deeply hidden that you had to really abandon the compelling main storyline and search around. The game is by itself one big puzzle. That's what I liked about it, and that's what I think many people don't know. My advice: for maximum enjoyment, don't race to finish the game. The first time I played it, I was done in four days (playing two or three hours a day). The third time around, it took me two weeks (playing up to four hours a day). It's worth it.

"Great Game, Greatly Ignored.", Maybe it is the mislabling of this game as an adventure\rpg. Or maybe it was the hype that it could never meet. Whatever it was, this game was highly ignored by many game players.

Though labled so, it is not an adventure title, nor is it a full RPG. To more appropratly describe it, it is an-interactive story with RPG elements.

And speaking of story, I felt the game had the great story we have come to expect from Feist. Without a good story, most games are doomed, but this one really delivers. We really feel for the characters as we conintue to play.

As for Sound and music: They are also excellent elements of this game that exceed most games I've played in quality. I really like the atmosphere that the "Voice of Arts" (the music vocalists) provides this game.

Finally the graphics: Not usually the most important aspect in rating a game, they usually help the overall experience. In "Return", the graphics are made in an interesting way, that actually makes the game more real than you'd expect. That being said , While certainly, nothing groundbreaking, the graphics were fairly good.

There is nothing missing from this short, but sweet game from one of the masters of fantasy fiction that should hinder one from enjoying it.
