"A Classic In Its Own Right", Ever since the movie Predator 2 came out.And the Alien head appeared in the Predator trophy room on his ship.Everybody thought of how cool it would be to see those two franchises collide.And so it happened.First in the comic books of AVP and then in Atari as a video game.So it was about time for the two scariest aliens ever to a appear on film for them to be on PC.

This a first person shooter game.You have the choice of playing Alien,Predator or Human.Each character has about 6 Levels & some bonus levels get unlocked when you finsh the levels with a certain difficulty.Alien levels are the easiest because of his speed & agility.The Predator is the most technologically advanced.And the Marine levels are the hardest were the lowest on the food chain.There also multiplayer to play online with friends.And there number of areas to choice from.

In most of the levels the areas and situations will resemble situations from the films.Also there are number of choice of weapons for Predator & the Marine.But for the Alien only claws,tail and teeth.The game is pretty easy to play.The controls are easy so you will get the hand of it.The game is scary in some sections when the Aliens jump ouf nowhere at start wounding.Also the music adds to suspence and rythm to the game.

The only thing i could say that this game is missing is a plot.There is no real story.Each level give you little things.Like while youre playing it will tell you something like save the hive or destroy this.Very simple.
The graphics are pretty good for the time that game came out.Truth is looks pretty good for the test of time.So is the sound that is 3D sound.

I enjoyed every second of this game.Its cool & creepy game.A must for Alien & Predator fans.

"Great job at capturing the movie atmosphere", The game has done a great job at capturing the overall atmosphere of the Alien and also the Predator movies. The weapons are the same as seen on TV, heck, even the sound effects are the same. Play the game as the marine, alien or predator. Great plot, great action, great game.
The marine's smartgun is reason in itself to buy this title. Simply delicious.

"Look man...I only need to know one thing....where..they..are", This game is really fun and is filled with challenges and areas. You can be walking around and an alien pops in front of you. Its hard in a lot of ways. Your in an area with 2000 bullets. Sounds easy. In 5 mins your out of amo with 20 aliens dead and about 60 more ready to kill. I suggest you play the mini games at first to get the hang of the controles. Then begin to fight for your life. When you play it is really dark. So put on different visions to get a better look around. The Predator is really hard for me. I killed about 5 people before I died. I tried to get some cheats but tthey were fake. The alien is kinda stupid because he goes so fast you would run strait past the enimes.(humans and predators) The game is more alien than Predator. But fans of Predator will find the game good for the fact you could be it.

"Lacks a story But fun Fps", I Bought this game long time ago back then it was pretty cool but the game has no story to it plus your only supposed to run from point A to B shooting any moving object you go by (except for the Alien he cuts his way through) that's the whole story.

But the plus side of the game i that you can play three differnt charectors each with there own special abilities. Plus look out for the place called Fury 161 that's where the story of Alien 3 takes place.

Overall a very good game but get Alien versus Predator 2. It's WAY better.

""I love it!"", Aliens vs. Predator is the 2nd coolest game I have ever played! It's graphics are very good, it does not stall like some games, and the sounds are so realistic!

Alien (4/5 stars) As an alien, you have no weapons expcept your claws, tail, and headbiting jaw inside your mouth. The alien is extremely vulnerable, but is faster than the human or Predator. The alien is the second most fun character out of the three to portray.

Marine (2/5 stars) As a Marine/soldier, you are the most vulnerable of the species, and you get a Pulse Rifle but hardly any ammo. And when you use up your rifle you have a combat knife! How the hell is someone supposed to take out a bunch of swarming aliens with a tiny little survival knife?!

Predator (5/5 stars) The Predator is the coolest one to be! You get a lot of great weapons, such as the Plasma Caster, Wristblades, Speargun, etc. You can take trophies (like in the movie) and you get assorted vision modes, Thermal, Infra-Red, Neg. Art, and normal. The Predator is really cool and this is the one you should try first!

Multi-Player (5/5 stars) Though everybody is playing Multi-Player with AvP2 now, it is still really cool on AvP1, and it is the only time I really even think about chosing to be a Colonial Marine. I always choose the Mini-Gun if I am a Marine. CO-OP is really hard, you make one step and hords of aliens come swarming at you (Mini-Gun gets the job done, though).

Overall (5/5 stars) This is a great game and I recommend to any Alien and Predator fan. But, I would recommend AvP2 a bit more than I would this one.

"Incredible and addictive", I have had this game for ages and it took me ages to get used to it. I started first with the alien which moves faster than anything I have seen in a game and can crawl up walls, hang from the ceiling and makes a nice crunching sound when you bite into your enemies heads.

The predator levels are easiest and if you are familiar with the movies you will know why. Amazing fire power and tools (just check out the disc and the grappling hooks)not to mention invisibility, zoom and four different vision modes. I would suggest that you start with this baby because the predator is one mean and resilient character.

The marines are helped by their motion trackers (so you can see where your enemies might be) and a startling array of weapons: pulse rifle, smart gun (which tracks your enemies), flame thrower, mini-gun (the jungle flattening one used in the Predator movie) and the awesome SARDAR rocket launcher. Great but you have to find them along with body armour and medikits. Beleive me you will need them.

There are loads of levels and the opportunity for bonuses. The strategies needed by each character are different and this leads to some great game playing oportunities.

There are also multiplayer and skirmish options. Multiplayer means you can play across a LAN or the net. A great chance to wup your mates. Skirmish mode provides you with little vignettes -opportunities to massacre or be massacred.

This is not a game for the faint-hearted. Eerie sound effects and gory deaths are everywhere (you are even encouraged to do head bites when an alien - for extra health).

I do not claim to be a games wizard and it has taken me a long time to go through the games (at training level - I still have to do it at realistic and Director's cut levels)!

Two tips: buy the guide - you will need it and download the patch so you can save games.

"Scariests PC Moments ever - First Person Shooter Classic", This game is something to shout about! Let me rephrase that - These 3 games are something to shout about! Thats basically what you get. The different characters are varied enough to make this a highly original FPS which has features important enough to make it a landmark FPS. It may not be HalfLife or SS2 but its damnright up there with the best of them

This must be the best Movie spinoff of all time. The games mirror the movies so much. From the sounds the Aliens and Predators make to the way the Predator uses his medikit. Every aspect of the movie is there. The marine levels are the scariest I have ever seen. Aliens appear from nowhere and with surround sound I guarantee you will jump in fright in no time.

The cut scenes are gorgeous and once you complete a game there are bonus levels. You have to complete the game on the hardest level to get all of them.

This game also saw the first use of limited game saving per level. This is great as you cant save your game every 5 seconds. This has been seen in later games since. You WILL replay bits and it is tough but at least you have to use your brain and skill a bit more.

The marine levels were my favourite followed by the predator. Each character has different attack modes and ways of moving. For instance, the predator can survive high jumps while the alien is the quickest and hardest to hit but takes most damage. Learnin these skills is a key to sucess. There are also nice touches like the predator being able to pull the heads off marines and aliens blood spraying at you.

The predator has the different vision modes while the Alien has the fish vision mode. While a marine it sometimes felt like Half Life, but its the closest you'll get to being in the movie. The guns make the same noise, theres the constant beep of the detector which speeds up as an Alien gets closer. It cant be faulted for realism.

The multiplayer aspect is super also as you get to fight a mixture of baddies. Theres a big online contingent of players out there. Afrer Quake3, Unreal Tournement and Team Fortress this probably comes next in the hierarchy.

The only fault is that there could have been more levels and maybe the storyline could have been a bit better (being picky). Still, this does not detract from a PC classic with gripping atmosphere and moments that will give you nightmares!

It is a great FPS even without the Movie License which should appeal to fans of both the movie and gaming genre.

I cannot say enough good things about this game. Especially in a time when FPS are 10 a penny. This has new elements like the save options, 3 game modes and vision modes that makes this a cut above most other FPS out there. This game has added to the FPS genre for sure. You can almost hear the cries of "Game over man, game over!". Go get it now!

"Great Game", This game is great. It only gets 4 stars because of its limited multiplayer and single plyer levels. The game itself is probably one of the best ever. The fact that you can choose from three different species sets it apart form other FPS games. The gameplay is amazing and difficult.

"I only need to know one thing, where...they...are!", This game is relentless! Its sound effects, graphics, and atmosphere are a real treat for ALIENS and PREDATOR fans. Another great feature is disc 2, which is a collection of great game music. But you know whats even better than that? Well heres a little trick I came up with; instead, try putting the actual soundtrack to the ALIENS movie in first! For die hard fans, this is as close to being on LV426 as you'll get (without actualy hitching a ride on the Sulaco).

"*Drool*", This game is fantastic. I loved the balanced play between the three warriors. The multiple and unique views for each added to the atmosphere which is equally amazing. The best is perhaps some of the random spawning and the need to listen to sounds. I've never needed to use sounds to locate where an enemy was coming from in a FPS and it made all the difference. I still remember the shake i got when i heard the first face-hugger Chittering towards me and couldn't see it till it started humping my face. A must-have.
