"Great system!"
this is one of the best systems i have and i have a xbox360 a wii a NES a sega genesis and a gamecube ya thats 6 systems and it is one of the best by far and if you Get this system make sure to get resident evil code veronica that is one of the best games! Hope this helps you!

P.S. it is worth the money.

"Great Console!"
If I had known the dreamcast was so much better than a playstation 2, I would have gotten one instead. Games like Sonic Adventure, Shenmue, SoulCalibur are amazing on this little system. Highly recommended for those who have the extra cash laying around, or want to try a different gaming system.

"Best Console I Ever Had!!! (Did not Last)"
I have owned a Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, Gameboy, and Xbox, and I must say that the Sega Dreamcast provided the most enjoyment out of all of them. I have always though graphics are a little overrated, and that the main priority is gameplay, which is what this system brings. Luckily, I do not care enough that the graphics are not as good as Xbox or PS2 at the time of it's release, because they simply are not. But, I simply loved the games that were provided for the Dreamcast. My absolute favorites were Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Crazy Taxi 1 and 2, Demolition Racer: No Exit, NFL Blitz 2000, MLB 2K1, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Power Stone 1 and 2. Those are 10 great games, plus probably some others, including some I know others loved, like Shenmue, that I never played for myself. This is all compared to Sega Genesis and Gameboy, which both had limited gameplay capabilities, and Xbox, which just did not have enough great games, except for Halo, PGR, and Ghost Recon, which all still pale in comparison to those games on Dreamcast. In fact, the only reason I stopped playing these games was because of one fatal flaw in the system, which was that it was much more susceptible to breaking down. I owned two systems, both of which died probably within a year or two. This was actually the only reason I went onto Xbox. I Just hope that down the line, if Sega creates another system, that they will allow playback for the Dreamcast games that I still own, because it was the most fun I ever had with a video game.

"Game system broke"
I bought this game system for my boyfriend's birthday. He wanted a brand new one so I bought the over priced brand new out of the box dream cast. It worked great for about a week and a half. Then it just stopped working. My boyfriend contacted the company and they said to send it back in for either a replacement or a refund. He sent it back in for a replacement at his own expense. He has not heard from the company again. They will not return his e-mails, nor have they sent him his new dream cast. I am very disappointed with the way this situation turned out.

"Funnest I've ever had with a console."
Dreamcast is by far my favorite. It has very fun games as you'll read in tons of other reviews. None of the newer consoles have met my expectations half as good as the Dreamcast did back in the Christmas of 99'. This is coming from a person who owns 19 consoles including the 360, Wii, Gamecube, PS2, etc. Those consoles have fun games, but coming after the Dreamcast, they are more like novelties to me. If you don't get a Dreamcast, you should at least get the ports of its games such as Sonic Adventure 2, Crazy Taxi, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue II, House of the Dead 2, and many more. I still buy games for my DC off of here. Most can be found in good condition.

What our customer's say!

"THE BEST GAMING SYSTEM EVER", This product is good and arrived in the condition described by the seller.Good job and keep up the good work.

"Dreamcast...", 1 word. Awesome. (for its time) and actually thats 3 words and a contraction ;)

"Sega last console ;(", In my opinion this is one of the best consoles ever, next to nes snes genesis saturn and playstation and wii
and it came before all the other 6h gens, but the graphics werent as good as playsation 2 but I really dont care about graphics playsation 2 needed an addon to have 4 players which in my opinion was a bad idea for sony,
this console had awesome graphics for its time though and the games are awsome since it has revoloutionary titles like sonic adventure,2 and shenmue and virtua tennis(and the fottball ones but i dont like football)
this console wouldve stayed in the running if itwasnt for playstation 2's dvd player
but its not sega's fault when the dreamcast was originally released in japan in 1998 it was right before the dvd boom so they didn know, that dvd's were going to be that popular(personally i like vcd's better lolz you dont have to paty the money for dvds and a dvd burner)
and it has other cool titles like bomberman online phantasy star online,2 and worms world party (and some others i've never seen played or looked up)
and on top of that it was way easier to program for when ps2 came out,
but you cant change time
but i would highly recoment this console to most people especially sonic fans and people who dont care about grphics
its a shame sega hasnt made anymore consoles since dreamcast was so awesome

"ahead of it's time, but overshadowed by the PS2.", In short, the good:

great selection of quality games not found on competing game consoles of the period.

first game console to go online, and first to have broadband and internet access.

well built, mostly problem free. Sega offered support and repair services on it until late 2007!

revolutionary

The bad:

Awkward controllers. Solid, but strange feel with only one analog stick.

Weird memory units (VMU's) with lcd screens that can play mini games, but not very practical and limited storage.

Most of the online games were dial up only, with some bad lag.
Web browser was severely limited with no flash support. Broadband adapter was only sold online and only 2/3 games supported it.

Sega's online service (Seganet) was ridiculously expensive, and required a monthly fee

The Ps2's announcement and arrival was what is recognized to have destroyed the Dreamcast. Many people held off buying one, and waited for Ps2 instead. Sega couldn't fend off the dark cloud of Sony.

It's full potential was never explored, or reached.

Sega ran out of money to support it. It had the shortest life of any game console in the U.S. , from 9/9/1999 to 01/31/01.

R.I.P. Dreamcast.

"Still Playing it, Still Fun", There's no greater case for questioning "why" and "what if" than the Dreamcast. Everything you can say about this system has been said 100x over. Underrated, overlooked, before it's time, revolutionary. The list goes on and on. It all adds up to fun anyway.

I'm one of those that was completely sold on the Dreamcast. I'd never been more excited about a console and never have since. This was the console that finally would give us arcade quality games in our homes. I remember when I first saw 'Ready to Rumble' up and running. I just couldn't believe how good it looked and how fun it was to play. After looking at jagged and pixelated PS1 games for so long, it was a sight for sore eyes, literally. That game alone sold me on the system.

I was crushed when I heard that Sega was pulling the plug and abandoning the Dreamcast. The best console with the best games was on the way out and it didn't seem right. It didn't make sense. It was immensely popular, had one of the best launches in console history and it's sports games were flourishing even without EA's support. It still stings the memory like your favorite team losing the championship.

But we still have our memories and even better, many of us still have our Dreamcasts. A true testament to a console and games of the past is how well they hold up today. Many times, your memory serves you better than reality. I've experienced that many times with old games I used to like. But many of these are still alot of fun. Maybe not as much as they were at first but they can still provide a good time.

Sega was in it's prime when they made games for the Dreamcast. Sonic, Crazy Taxi, House of the Dead 2, Sega Bass and Marine Fishing, Daytona USA, and Virtua Tennis are still among the best and most playable today. Other honorable mentions go to Soul Calibur, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Power Stone 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Jet Grind Radio, 18 Wheeler, and Silent Scope. Unfortunately, the dreamcast will never come back and Sega may never again be the giant that they once were, but you can still find the console, the games, VMU's, fishing controller's, and light gun's to experience some of the best that gaming has to offer. Get it while the gettin's good.

"Dreamcast for kids", My husband had the Dreamcast many years ago and we sold it once the PS2 and XBox came out, but found that it was a mistake. Yes it is hard to find the games for it and Sega no longer sells them. My child who is 9 now wanted one and it is nice to see there are still factory sealed ones out there with the games if you look hard enough. It may be old, but it is great for kids. My child was not to fond of the Wii from Nintendo that is forsure.......

"It is About the Games", The Dreamcast system is a solid reliable capable game system, but lacks good games. Most games seem to be ported ps1 games with little or no graphic improvement. A few games (Headhunter, Sega 2k series sports, Shenmue, and Draconus) are beautiful graphically and close to, or even slightly better than the ps2 level. However, most games are terrible and a game system is only as good as the games it plays.

"A great system that should have stayed on the market", The dreamcast was without a doubt a great console. But, like all great things (such as the nintendo 64) It died out. I really think that they should have made a lot more games for it, but i was already satisfied with the games that were out. Any body who likes resident evil would have to agree that Resident Evil 2 and Code veronica were great games. Powerstone was pretty fun to, along with Sonic's Adventure. I would recommend this system to anyone that doesn't mind playing older games.

"The Dreamcast is AMAZING", I got the Dreamcast for Christmas and that is what I played every day for a long time. The controllers are very cool shaped. The VMU's are the perfect size. The console is not to big. The other systems I have are Gamecube,DS and Gameboy Advanced SP. I get so bored of them. But heres one problem I don't have phone line at my house and I don't know where to get a Broadband Adapter.

"Perfection has it's price!", Well well well, the wonderful and last Sega Dreamcast. I start like this, and it feels good to say it. Now the new generation of consoles is released and truly ps2, xbox and gamecube are fading slowly. But what seems a little strange to me is that the dreamcast is gaining support. How strange! I have recently done a poll study of the consoles life,(Sega dreamcast)span and alot of them are being dug out of the grave. Correct me if i'm wrong? unless they are turning into zombies. Bottom line is this, alot of people are purchasing dreamcasts who only owned a ps2 or xbox. Of course there are some ex dreamcast owners who want to re-unite with their long lost love. And yes I am part of the hype.
