"Great video card, beautiful graphics and a gem from it's time.", I purchased this card for My Compaq computer back in 1998, and it still is going. Out of date for XP, it still works on my computer using 95b, and would work on 98SE as well. Great smooth graohics, it really spead up the processing time of that old computer when I put it in, releiving the drain on RAM memory. Great for those older computers you may have, a gemm of its time, now out of date as technologies improve and software changes. Absolutely recommend it.

"Still have this today, works great in my old system!!!", I bought this for my old compac 200mhz pentium processor when it was "state of the art" back in 1997 or so (running windows 1995). 16mb cards were the best you could do at the time. This thing blew the competition out of the water at the time, and is still by far the best graphics card I have seen for computers the age of my old system. I was the first one to have it in a circle of 4 friends, who within 3 weeks all had voodoo3 3000 agps because our 2000 was so good. Flawless, skipless graphics and capatibillity beyond compare at the time with great games like need for speed and nascar legends. This thing did it all. A year or so later, they came out with the 3000 pci, but I was already in love with this unit. A must have for older computer systems.

"Still Have It", I've had the Voodoo3 2000 on my pc for the past 2 years and still can't seem to have the need to change it to something else.
I'm a heavy on-line gamer and am very happy with this video card. Just have to work the jagged edges on some games though. Other than that, I have no regrets owning one.

"Excellent for mid level gamers (I guess)", Like many others writing reviews for this card, I too had an integrated AGP on the motherboard. Installing this card was not much of a problem. Make sure after your first round of installation, you download the latest drivers from the 3dfx site. The card provides excellent enhancements for most games which I play- currently Alice in Wonderland and Real Myst. Both are fairly graphic intensive games. And the card provides wonderful support. However I am not in a position to speak for people who plan to play games with extraordinary frame rate requirements. Anyways the only reason you would be buying this card is if you dont have an AGP slot on your motherboard and your game requirements are not excessive and you are on a budget. Given these three requirements I think this used to be an excellent solution. Is it still an excellent solution? Remember the company has closed down which means customer support will be minimal with no future software upgrades. If you are worried about that you should probably think about the new Hercules Prophet Geforce PCI card released very recently with 32 MB RAM. Amazon is not selling it as yet for some reason. ....

"Good Card (emphasize good)", This is a great workhorse card, it tackles any driver I came across. It didn't work with a few games I had and I couldn't find a patch for some of them, but it worked pretty well otherwise. It isn't blazing fast and doesen't have all of the bells and wistles, but with it's 16mb's it will be running games sufficiently for a long time to come. You'll get your money's worth with this card.

"Awesome Price. If you like gaming, you will like this card.", I bought this for $99 a while back. I have put in many hours playing Half-Life and this card is great for gaming. If you PC has only PCI slots, this is the card to get. It was easy to install and very reliable.

I did a lot of research before I bought this card. It's top rated. Don't waste your time squinting at your screen anymore, this card rocks.

"Wow, am I impressed!", My nice dad gave me this card for Christmas, and as soon as I installed it in my old Pentium 200, I never looked at games quite the same way. They look positively astounding! This card will bring life you didn't even know existed from old clunkers like mine. Though varied, the refresh rate is beautiful on most stuff I've seen, and I can run games now that I never thought I would be able to. Judging by the price, if you're a college kid like me, it's probably a very smart investment if you're looking for an inexpensive upgrade. So why do I only give it four stars? Well, I must be honest. The first card I installed was defective. It accellerated fine and functioned properly, but it displayed a constant blinking - - "grid" of pixels on the screen, evenly spaced. (and I did install it carefully while properly grounded) 3dfx customer service was rude to me once out of three times, but otherwise was nice about it, and the retailer my father bought it from replaced the product without much trouble. Drivers were slightly buggy for a while, but they seem to be fixed now, and it's probably safe to say that my mishap doesn't happen to most people. All in all, go for it!

"This is a great PCI card", I you have an onboard video chip, this is an awesome upgrade. The only problem is up disabling the onboard video chip. Email me if you need to know how.

My current system is 533mhz Celeron, 128 megs of RAM, Windows 98SE, 20 gig hard drive.

I used to play Unreal tournament at 512X384 with med and low settings at 16 bits, now I run at 800X600 at high detail settings. My monitor will not handle a high setting. Anyway the graphics at 50 times better than before. Quake 3, graphics are better and run smoother.

I you hurray up and buy, you can get $30 back from the 3dfx.

Recap: I love this card, graphics are 50X better than before. Buy this card if all you have is a PCI interface.

"Not good, but nice", It's a great card for stragidy games and older games like Quake 2 but for newer games like Quake 3 and Diablo 2 you need a AGP voodoo. a V3-3k is a great cad for these games. This card is a great card for PCI but i highly recomend a better AGP voodoo for todays games.

"Very good card for 2nd-tier systems", I got this card to upgrade my old P2-400mhz, and I must say that I was extremely pleased with the performance. I never encountered any of the issues I've read about, and the frame rates have always exceeded the demands of the games I've played (including such eye candy as Diablo 2 and Homeworld). If you are like me and can't afford ... a 'top of the line' card, get this one. It'll do a fine job at running anything on the market today and will probably do a fine job for the next 12 to 18 months. A good return on your investment, if you stop and consider...
