"A good solid start for beginners with Vue 6"
If you, like me, learn best by following project-based tutorials, you'll love this book. It's like having an experienced friend walk you through each area of Vue, step by step. Learn by doing. Exercises are easy to follow, logically paced. For the first time, I feel like I know what I'm doing, and I have Mr. Schrand to thank.

Let's hope the publisher has him do a book on advanced topics next!

Edit 01/24/08: This book has been out for over a year, and it's looking like the publisher is never going to post the online content referred to in the book. This is a book that is totally black and white AND comes with no CD. Example files mentioned by the author are not available. I'd rather pay 10-15 bucks more and get color photos along with a CD. Will be avoiding books from this publisher from now on.

"Good addition"
This book wont wow you, but it is solid, besic content will help to understend application better.
If you advanced user, you propobly already know most of it.




"Excellent training tool"
This book is an excellent training tool for new users to Vue 6. Two issues with this book are as follows:

1. The book is wide, but not tall. It's akward to hold when trying to read it, causing you to have to lay it on a table.

2. This book was written for all version of Vue 6. There are several references to Vue 6 XStream features, which might cause confusion.

Overall, this is an excellent book for teaching the basics, and dabbles in the more complicated features of Vue.

Highly recomended.

"Great book - Poor graphics."
This is a great book but the graphics are less than stellar. Very difficult to follow at times, would be great if better screen shots were shown or printed in color.

"Very easy to use"
I expected a complicated book but instead I find a very easy to use book. It is not for the experienced Vue 6 User and you will not find very complicated and advanced learning but you can improve your skills and make the most of the book.
