"Errors"
While a great reference, this book has many typographical and gramerical errors. It also is not categorized properly and reiterates the same facts over and over. It does however have great pointers on what to say in a letter. However its view is too simplistic for business writing. I would not suggest this book for a professional opinion. I would suggest it however for a day to day reference on personal letters.

"How to Write It: A Complete Guide to Everything You'll Ever"
This is comprehensive reference tool for all sorts of business and personal situations. If you're a skilled writer or if you feel your writing needs polish, this book provides great guidelines for drafting letters, memos, reports, and resumes. It is especially helpful when you need to write letters for unpleasant situations such as annoucing a divorce, laying off an employee, or to offer condolence.

"Excellent Resource"
This book proves that even the most experienced writer can still benefit from outside guidance! I have written business correspondence througout my career, and have recently taken a position that requires almost nothing BUT writing. Being inspired 8 hours per day, 5 days per week can be a bit overwhelming, but in the first three weeks on the job I have turned to this book AT LEAST once a week, and have found wonderful suggestions for a sympathy note, employment candidate rejection letter, fundraising appeal, you name it! I am happy to have this book on my shelf! Don't hesitate to buy!

"Essential book for EVERYONE"
Have you ever been stumped on how to write something? I know I have and couldn't believe how much use I'd get out of this book!

There is sections for everything from business life to personal life. Almost any situation and anything you might ever write will be found in this book!

Although, of course, you won't find exactly what you're looking to write in this book (you supply the 'text', not the book)...you'll find out HOW to write it, WHAT is effective, and EXAMPLES of what it should look and read like.

The books price is inexpensive for something you'll probablly use many times throughout the year (or like me every week!)

Bottom line: Get the book and have one less headache in your daily writing life!

"It's a "gotta-have-it" book. . ."
When Sandra says, "Everything," she means it. As a professional speaker, I found this book to be a terrific "help-mate" for my business! This "A to Z" guide truly is a "complete" and indispensable guide for every professional speaker, author and more.

What our customer's say!

"Helps get you started", This is a handy reference book that helps get you start writing any kind of correspondence. It is has been a helpful tool to me many times.

"How to Write It", I wish I had this book a long, long time ago. It really does cover all my writing needs.

"How to Write It: A Complete Guide to Everything You'll Ever Write", For an underlying idea of how to approach the different kinds of everyday writing, this book has it all. I would not suggest copying letters word for word; however, there are focused phrases which apply to all situations and act as an inspiration for one's very own personalized letter. At the very least, this book demonstrates how to write with the appropriate tone, how to approach a topic and express succinct thoughts with grace and manners. This book makes a writer out of everyone.

"Could have been better", This book is not bad but could have been better. There is a distinct tendency for the author to be repetitive and each example letter is shown in full, which results in a lot of (wasted) white space on the pages. Also, in my opinion, the book itself has been put together relatively cheaply; it's reminiscent of a large mass-market paperback. I prefer 'How to say it' by Rosalie Maggio which covers most of the same ground.

"Useful", A lot of this stuff is already known to me, but this book is still beneficial to the average person who may forget the title format, etc. It's almost like a huge cheat sheet! The cover letter chapter and the magazine proposal chapter were the best and most useful for me. The organization and layout of this book are dynamite. Great job!

"Put this book next to your dictionary", This is one of those books that is so incredibly useful and so easy to read, you have to wonder why no one thought to write one like it before now. I got the book to check out the email section, but was literally thunderstruck by all of the other fantastic writing examples and templates. I think this would be a great book to give a graduate, because it has examples for writing many of life's "must-to's", such as thank you notes, condolences, credit inquiries and a lot more. I'm a writer, but even I get "writer's block" sometimes. This book is a real gem.

"A real time-saver!", In a world where we've almost lost the art of written communication, this book reminds us all how to write a good letter without the use of smiley face icons and 'LOL.' With time constraints pressing on us from all directions, any guide that saves us time is a Godsend, and this book saves hours of thinking time by providing the perfect format, wording, and handling of many different letter situations. This book is especially useful to young people, high school students and college graduates who may not have been schooled in the fine art of letter etiquette, and it's a valuable addition to any home library. The written word, when used well, can open doors. Sandra Lamb provides a key communication tool with this book, and I'm keeping it close by.

"End writer's block forever!", From Marisa D'Vari, author of Script Magic: Subconscious Techniques to Conquer Writer's Block. Many people are "blocked" when it comes to writing something as simple as a thank you letter, let alone a formal report. Sandra Lamb makes it easy for anyone to write any kind of letter with this well-written resource! A must for everyone's book shelf!

"The Practial Art of Written Correspondance", Ever wonder how to address a Viscountess, the abbreviation for the Society of Jesus, or when not to use heripulate (see manipulate)? Well, How to Write It, by Sandra Lamb includes these and many other correspondance etiquette guidelines. In addition to this priceless advice, she elucidates a full array of both formal and informal personal and business correspondances ranging from Announcements, to Reports, to PR Press Releases. In these times where communication has become rushed and unsure she might have considered titling it, The Practical Art of Written Correspondance.

"Wolf Rider", I read the book Wolf Rider i though it was a pretty good book. It has some boring parts, but there are also some really good exciting parts. The auther makes you feel really close to the characters. He really expresses what is happening and what the characters are feeling. Sometimes the book has some kinda sad and scary parts. Some good things about the book is it has very good well writen conversations, exciting parts, fun charicters, and a lot more. There arnt many but there is a few bad things about the book: some sad things happen in the book, and sometimes it seems like the book keeps draging on about parts. I would rate Wolf Rider a four point book sence it is a over all good book.
