"More a guide to pleasurable gambling", Do not buy this book looking for how to walk out of Bellagio with more than you walked in with. Scoblete is straight forward about the odds in Baccarat and more interested in teaching you how to get the most out of playing the game with the lowest house edge.

Brief descriptions of well known betting strategies are included. Greater detail is given however to the rituals of the game and how to use them to slow down play; thus gaining more comps for longer playing time at high dollar tables while risking no more money than you would playing mini-bac.

An interesting easy read, but certainly not the final word.

"Loaded with Valuable Information", A complete discussion of all aspects of baccarat from card counting to systems play. Scoblete masterfully takes the reader into the ins and outs of this fascinating game and shows how to really lower the house take on your money and how to get what he calls the "monetary edge." The book is fascinating and fun. Scoblete is an excellent writer. As I said in the title of this review, the book is loaded with valuable information.

"truly disappointed", after reading the many positive reviews from others, I decided to give this book a try. Being an intermediate baccarat player, this book had nothing insightful to offer someone like myself, I kept anticipating that the author would offer more in the ways of different money management systems that I could implement, along with different angles and strategies. This book did no such thing, it only included novice MM systems, 4/5 of the book seemed like fillers. Scoblete talked about the 'feeling' and 'enjoyment' you should get from playing baccarat and how to get the most of these feelings. Learning how to get comped and the seven deadly sins of gambling. This is a instruction manual for rookies and should be considered as such.

"What a book!", This book was great. What more can I say? It's definately worth every penny. Go out and buy it.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Nothing New", There is no "ingenius" method revealed for lowering the bank commission, just a common sense way to keep from getting overcharged which anyone should normally know to do. This book is mostly fluff-- lots of psycho-babble on gambling psychology and how to "act" like a gambler. Mr Scoblete seems more interested in "acting" than gambling. There is nothing in this book that will help you win money at Baccarat, in my opinion.

"Comprehensive Book", Like all of Frank Scoblete's books that I have read this is a comprehensive exploration of baccarat. Frank interviews John May and discusses various advantage play methods May has developed. Frank also shows how to get the best bang for your buck by making certain types of wagers and by only playing in vertain types of games. His advice about "pushing the house" on commissions was the most original thing I ever read about baccarat in any book ever written about the subject. if you play baccarat, this is a must read book.

"Slow down your action", What I got from this book on Baccarat was that even though Baccarat is a low percentage game, the fast pace of the mini-baccarat can "eat you up." Basically, the message is "do not bet every hand of Baccarat." In this way you'll stay in action longer should a good streak show up. This was no news for me.

"I Discovered a Great Game", I had never been interested in baccarat before but I am a Frank Scoblete fan so I bought this book. It was worth it. First of all, like all Scoblete's books that I have read, it is first rate. It is fun to read and just analyzes the game thoroughly. Scoblete shows why the traditional game of baccarat is much better than the mini version. He also explains how to really reduce what the house wins by maximizing comps and by using an ingenious strategy for reducing the commission on the Bank bet from 5 percent to 4 percent. I hve tried this strategy in five casinos and had success in two of them. Scoblete also analyzes over 40,000 decisions at baccarat and explains why these are very lose to the probability of what happens in the math. I wish I had better powers of writing because I know I am not doing this book justice. It turned me on to baccarat and I am loving every minute of it!

"Excellent Book for Baccarat", Baccarat Battle Book is the best book I ever read on baccarat. I found out that I have been playing the mini version of the game instead of playing the big version which I can afford to play. This book shows you exactly how to reduce the house edge on the amount of money you bet. I recommend it.
