"WAY too "wordy"", I'll keep this short; this book has very good information but is EXTREMELY wordy. I cannot believe the author gets qualified tenants with all the paperwork he has and hoops he makes applicants jump through. An experienced landlord will not believe the forms included in the back of the book and how bloated/wordy they are. I can't believe the author is employed as a teacher; he is incapable of writing in a succinct fashion.

"Very helpful!", This book offers great advice. It covers topics that I hand't even thought of that one would need when trying to rent out their property. Also, it offers "sample" leases, deposit forms, credit check forms which I was able to just copy and use for when I rented out my property. I definitely recommend this book.

"This book offers the best overview going!", A very, very useful, comprehensive work that gets you the lay of the land, and does not bog you down in extraneous details.

You REALLY want to read this before you even think about going into the landlord business.


"Every Landlord's Bible", If there is ever a need for a landlord book, this is it. For California residents, I also suggest using The California Landlord's Law Book: Rights & Responsibilities. These two books go hand in hand together.

"Landlording: A Handymanual for Scrupulous Landlords and Landladies Who Do It Themselves", I think this is a great book. It is understandable, easy to read, and it has lots of useable, real world information--like how to screen potential renters. I highly recommend it, especially for novices such as myself who, due to market conditions, stumble into the unsought role of landlord.

"Excellent book for new or experienced landlords", This book provides great suggestions to address frequently encountered landlord/tenant situations. I found the forms to be invaluable. There is a website and I believe associated software that contains most of the forms, however I just created the ones that I needed on my own.

"Has everything you need to know", This book was an excellent investment. It's a bit wordy, but it has a ton of information for landlords. As a first-time landlord, it provided me with perspectives I would have never considered.

"John Nuzzolese, President of The Landlord Protection Agency", With Landlording, Leigh Robinson shows newbies and experienced landlords a simple and professional way to handle the hurdles and pitfalls of residential property management. The book includes easy to read instructions and examples of common situations experienced when dealing with tenants. Over the years, I have read just about every landlord and property management book on the market and I must say Landlording is an Essential.

"Great information", Great information, although I wish it included a CD or a website where you could download all the forms for free.

"Pretty good reference!", I just purchased my first rental property, a duplex, on June 29th. I bought this book several months ago from Amazon in order to become familiar with landlording, and have been pleased with its contents. Very informative and provides you with info that is not only useful and necessary, but will keep you out of trouble! The only drawback is the page numbers on the forms in the back of the book. You can use "white-out" to hide the page numbers, but it's somewhat of a pain. The comics throughout the book could be entertaining to some, but I could have done without those as well. Those who have been landlording for awhile would most likely not benefit from this book, but for beginners like me, it's great!
