"The Geography Bee Complete Preparation Handbook", This book was the best resource we found for the review of world geography as our son prepared for his school Geography Bee. We reviewed it as a family. We all learned a great deal.

"Great choice!! Lots of information about Geography bees & what to expect", My son started showing an interest in Geography in the 3rd grade so we bought him several books & this was one of them!! He is now a walking text book! watch out!! He has won several Geography bees & this is one of the books he has studied from!! Plus he just loves reading the information & sponging up the information!! This book had a lot of great tips about what to expect at & from a Geography bee. Tips for kids & for parents (which I felt helpful.) We recognized several of the study questions were used in the bee to... not his questions :) - But it was enjoyable as a parent too to learn the facts from this book! Enjoy!

"Great Prep.", This book was definitely a much better help than the Official National Geographic Study Guide. It included tons and tons of questions (some of them, however, are easy) and terms and a general overview of every state in the U.S. and pretty much every country in the world.

I is a great book to study for the Geography Bee, as I am. I would say that this is 10 times better than the "Official" one.

I would buy this even if you aren't preparing for the Geography Bee. If you are on an academic team, BUY THIS. It definitely helped my team. A great prep for social studies in general not just geography.

"Great help for Geographic Bee", We found this book a great help in our son's preparation for the National Geographic Bee. This book gives a great start to understanding the basics of geography. We only got through part of the book before the school's bee. Next year my son will have completed the book, and the other book of Matt's, "The Handy Geography Answer Book". The combination of these two books will definately increase your childs knowledge of the world. Matt gives some tips on how to do well in the bee, but most of the empahsis is on learing the material. There is no simple way to study for the bee. His advice on narrowing the answers was very helpful. We spent some time on learing the "superlatives". My son did not get any of those questions during the bee, but the knowledge of knowing the tallest, longest, biggest etc... is invaluable.

"This will help you win!", This geography bee book is the best on the market to help students win the bee. The chapters provide great information about the bee and how to study for it and the 1000 questions are written in true bee style. If your child can do well on the 1000 questions he or she is likely to do well at the state or local bee. Practice makes perfect; good luck!

"Jumbled", We found this book to be all hype and little help. The long geography content section is simply lifted and watered down from intro college geography texts, but without the diagrams and photos. The questions are helpful, but the same ones are found on the Nat'l Geo web site as the authors simply change a few words or places on each one. Also, we found three questions that have wrong answers. The authors must have put this one together in a hurry!

"Real Helper", This book is really great compared to the National Geographic version. My child was in the state level geography bee. This really helped him. It includes terms, tons of questions, and facts about what seems like everywhere in the world. If your deciding between this and the National geographic version buy this one. It has lots more information and questions.
