"Best Once-A-Month-Cooking Cookbook"
If you don't need a cookbook for your average frozen cassaroles and other "typical" frozen foods (that you can find with an internet recipe search for free!) - and you are only going to buy ONE freezer cooking cookbook, get this ONE! I have been a part of two freezer cooking clubs in two different cities I have lived in and passed it around the clubs. Many people have used my book (with different family tastes than mine) and so far I've had insanely happy responses!

When people ask me, "if I only get one cookbook for freezer cooking, which one should I get?" I always tell them to get this one. There is a good variety and so far, everything has frozen very very well.

If you do get the cookbook, make sure you try the Crabcakes with Lime Aioli, Orzo Salad and Fish Tacos. . . YUM!!! By the way, there are "normal" recipes too. . . with over 180 recipes, you can't really go too wrong!

Bottom line: I have saved money by using this book, and it's paid for itself over and over, besides, my family is thrilled with the NEW and fresh yummy recipes that are coming to our dinner table. If your make-ahead/freezer recipe selection needs a little kick in the pants, try this book.

"Great way to prepare meals ahead"
This cookbook gives great tips on preparing meals in advance to cut down on evening chaos. Great families on the go. Unfortunately, the recipes are not very kid friendly, but are great for us parents. I would recommend "Don't panic Dinner's in the freezer", or "Dream Dinners" for family friendly make ahead recipes.

"Super Family Suppers"
This is a very good cookbook for busy families. It is not exactly what I was looking for. I want recipes to cook fully, freeze, and later go from freezer to microwave to plate for those busy evenings. This cookbook is not exactly that. However, the recipes are good, mainly simple, mostly healthy, and there are many that I want to try. There is a lot of information about pre-prepping such as cutting up vegetables the night before, but you don't really need a special cookbook for that. A lot of the freezer recipes require freezing in the pan, which means you either don't mind living without the pan, or you buy the throw-away kind. I believe all are made to thaw completely and then cook when you want to eat. But still, there are excellent convenient family recipe ideas in here, along with quite a few pictures - something I prefer in a cookbook. Most ingredients are healthy without a lot of added cream soups, etc. So despite the fact that it isn't quite what I was looking for, I think it is an excellent cookbook for what it does deliver.

"Terrific recipes"
I just love this book! I have prepared at least 10 recipes and they all came out perfect! I have 3 teenagers and they just loved everything I made. All the ingredients are fresh and the recipes are easy to prepare. There is nothing fancy here. Most of the stuff I had in my fridge or pantry. If I didn't have it, now it will be part of my staples because I am definitely making these foods again!
Every week I look through the book to decide on the menu. I love the suggestions of what to serve with the main course. Making tasty suppers with nutrition and freshness has become an easy task for me.
I can't hardly wait for a second edition.

"Not what it promises."
I was a disappointed. This is not a book of the recipes Super Suppers offers in their kitchens. Almost NONE of these recipes are the ones you'd find in their storefronts. And it's not really even an assemble-and-freeze cookbook. MANY of the recipes in this books are not appropriate for assembling ahead. There's a whole chapter on SALADS, for heaven's sake, none of which can be frozen ahead, of course. Why do we even need a chapter on salads? It felt like filler to me. And the same with the chapter on vegetables -- ONE recipe can be assembled and frozen ahead.

And even the sections on entrees don't give nearly the number of recipes you'd expect. Of 28 recipes for beef, for instance, only 14 are what I would call assemble-and-freeze. The others either are not for doing ahead at all, or they're meals that are cooked completely to be frozen and then reheated.

And as I was paging through it just now counting how many recipes really fall into the category I was expecting, the book is starting to fall apart at the binding.

That said, there are some recipes that are good. There just aren't anywhere near enough of them to fulfill the book's promise.

"Not so good", The recipes looked good & the pictures were very appetizing but the end result was not so satisfying.

"The Freezer Cookbook I Return to Every Time", This is the one freeze ahead cookbook that I grab off my cookbook shelf the most (I have Don't Panic, Holly Clegg's, Everything Meals for a Month and Freezer Cooking Manual). I like it for these reasons:

-Healthy ingredients
-Suggestions for side dishes and desserts to compliment the meal
-Highest number of dishes that my four children will eat
-Simple to assemble and great photographs

Negatives:
-Not all the meals are meant to be frozen
-There are only directions for one meal, so you have to figure the ratios if you want to make more

You won't be disappointed if you buy this cookbook!

"Great recipes but not a OAMC manual", I purchased this book for more information on Once a Month Cooking but ended up with a book of great recipes but nothing more. If you want more specific info on OAMC then you would be better off purchasing Once a Month Cooking by Mimi Wilson & Mary Beth Lagerborg or Don't Panic - Dinner's in the Feezer! by Martinez, Howell & Garcia.
This book has some tasty recipes and info to freeze the dinners but does not contain shopping lists, menus, etc.

"Book Good/Binding STINKS", Love the recipes use it alot. I have just lost one recipe because the pages are falling out. I use it like all my other cook books and lay it on the table to look at the recipe while I cook. This is the only book that I have that is doing this. I hope they resolve this issue.

"Not the best of it's kind", I bought this cookbook, along with "Don't Panic..." and "Holly Cleggs Trim & Terrific Freezer-Friendly Meals". There were some good recipes here and the format is decent, but Holly Cleggs book suited me much better. Many recipes here are very similar to things I already make, so it didn't give me many new ideas. (Although the Roasted Vegetables recipe has become a new favorite side dish.) The serving suggestions included with each recipe was a nice idea, however, I had to laugh at some. For example, "Dessert: purchased ice cream sandwiches". Say what?! Glad I have a cookbook to suggest we buy ice cream sandwiches!

Good things to say about it? The pictures are nice. The food is child-friendly. Ingredients are normal, readily available. It's not an indispensible cookbook, but if you aren't too tight on money, it wouldn't hurt to have this one, too.

One last warning: this isn't much of a make-ahead cookbook. It's more of "quick and easy meals". There are few things in here that you could completely make and put in your freezer and later either take out and bake or take out and reheat. I'm not big on freezer meals, but if that is your goal or you do OAMC, this is not your cookbook.

"Super Suppers Cookbook", Haven't had a chance to use it yet but the recipes look great!!!

"Super Suppers - A Super Buy!", Every single recipe I've tried from this cookbook is a good one! The steps are simple to follow, ingredients easy to find and to substitute for lower fat, less sugar, adding more spice, etc. I've had fun with it and am already wanting a second version to be released!

"Saves time", The receipes are easy to follow and I don't have to add anything once cooked. The meals are very tasty!

"They really are super suppers! Not Unhealthy!", I have made about 10 recipes so far from this cookbook and they have all been just super! The first was the Santa Fe Chicken. It was chicken breasts with fresh bell peppers, red onion, fresh lemon juice (though you could substitute bottled), then a can of green chile peppers. It was very simple to make, would have frozen easily for future cooking but we ate it that night. We then tried the Crunchy baked asian tilapia fillets. It called for all fresh ingredients and panko bread crumbs. It took me some looking at the grocery to find that particular type they were in the asian food aisle (not the regular bread crumb aisle). Our next dinner was the Asian beef and veggie wrap. It called for fresh bean sprouts, green onions, plum sauce, grated fresh ginger and egg roll wrappers (which I found in the produce section at the grocery). So for the person who said it was all canned soup and stove top stuffing I'm not sure what recipe they were referring too. There might be one in this cookbook, there are almost 200 recipes but I didn't find it and certainly would never describe this cookbook as unhealthy...that's a complete misrepresentation. So I'm not sure what that other lady was referring to.
It's a great cookbook, with fresh ingredients. Well worth the money.

"Wonderful cookbook!", I have already made at least five of the recipes...all are really good! Clear directions and really helps me with meal planning!
