"Solid reference book but not exactly a page-turner", This book is filled with good, scientifically-researched advice on your baby's health. It does, however, read like a reference book, and it is often as exciting as reading a dictionary.

My personal preference was to read Baby 411 as sort of an overall guide, then refer to this book as issues pop up. In other words, use it just like a dictionary!

"Wonderful book", It's like the Bible for new Moms...I look at it every day for something or other!

"Great reference book for parents", This book is really my go-to-book every time I have a question or to decide whether or not to call our pediatrician. It also have things on development, discipline, family life, etc... It has great advice on potty training or establishing a sleep routine for example which have proven very useful for new parents!

"excellent book", I have purchased at least 10 copies of this book over the years. My pediatrician recommended this book to me 12 years ago when my son was born, and I used it extensively. I referred to it again when my daughter was born 3 years later. I routinely give it as a baby shower gift. It is an excellent reference and covers everything you'd want to know about babies!

"Very Informative without being too much information", I have enjoyed this book very much. It is very non-biased and doesn't tell you how to raise your child, more like stuff to look for and if a problem develops, how quickly you should call the doctor.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Disorganized and Inconclusive", I received this book free from 'Publix Baby Club' and was disappointed by its layout and language. I love to read and wanted to be sure I knew all that I could about infant care before I delivered my first child so I was eager to take all I could from this guide. Unfortunately the book jumped around and didn't seem organized, and therefore I was turned off to it. The content isn't as straightforward or as clear as it could be. If this is your only "manual" for infant and childcare, then by all means use it in stride. However, for a cleaner, clearer, concise and more conclusive book (in my own humble opinion), I'd recommend getting What to Expect the First Year, Second Edition by Heidi Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg, and Sandee Hathaway.

"Highly Informative, "A Bible", our hospital nurse said", Very good book was given by my son's pediatrician's office, which I recommended to my family, friends, and colleagues. I gave one copy to my brother and kept another copy for myself.

I did read every chapter as our first son grew (born 7 years ago). Each chapter cover the growing stages of babies: birth to one month, one to three months, etc, plus some specific chapters, including feeding, toys, growing mile stones, etc. The book says pretty much the same information as our sons' pediatrician say. I re-read the book for my newborn again, every chapter.

Our sons' pediatricians enjoy to communicate with us because we are educated by the book. The book covers how to take care of the babies/kids in details, including mindful and smart tricks ...

Highly recommended.

"Helpful resource for new parents", This book has been a really helpful resource for me as a new parent. I read the beginning chapters before our baby arrived. I've referenced it a number of times in her first month of life to figure out if what our baby is experiencing is "normal". It's helpful to know that the info is from an authoritative source like the AAP. I'd recommend this book for the library of all parents, especially new parents.

"good reference book", This is a comprehensive review of basic infant/child health and care. It was recommended by my pediatrician. It has saved me several calls to the doctor's office. Easy to read a few pages at a time as your child gets older. Also, it is more credible than many internet resources as it was put out by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

"Child care", This book is very good in helping to find information about babies and toddlers up to the through the age of 5. If covers child development and helps the new mother understand the needs of the infant and child.
