"Elements 4 for Digital Photographers"
Excellent workbook to learn how to use a great photo editing program. The photographs used in the book can be downloaded from Scott Kelby's web site and you can perform photo editing just like in the book. Our club has made a series of workshops out of this book to improve the skills of members and the book is recommended for everyone.

"Keep this by your computer."
This book is so helpful that I also keep a handwritten tip sheet for portability in addition to having the book by my computer. I use post-it notes with written tabs to access often-used techniques. Great exercises and tips!

"This book gets it done"
As a first time user of Elements, you can be a little intimidated by the immense wealth of features that exist in the program. The manual and online tutorials can only take you so far. Scott Kelby does an outstanding job of telling you what you need to know to make your photos fantastic.
He starts in the beginning telling you how to get yourself organized so that you will get full use of your photos and the full power of the program. As the book progresses, he leads you through the basics of editing and adjusting your photos to help you make them the best that they can be.
He doesn't go into the "why" technical aspects of the porogram, just the "how" so that you get right to editing. He gives you the settings that work so that you don't have to play around with them and shows you steb-by-step how to acheive a professional look in all your photographs. I would highly recommend this book for beginning and amature photographers who really want to bring out the best in their photos.

This is a clear and easy to understand how to do it book. Step by step and well illustrated. I recommmend it very highly to any one using this program.

If you own Photoshop Elements 4, this is a must-have book. Kelby knows Photoshop. He tries to insert humor throughout the book which can be refreshing at times and a wee bit tiresome at others. Mostly he gives great information that everyone can understand. Well worth getting.
