What our customer's say!
"I am hooked", I am completely hooked on this series. I bought this book for my daughter at her schools book fair. I decided to read the first chapter to preview it to make sure it was at her reading level. One chapter turned into two... turned into the whole book. I could not put this book down at all. I managed to read it in 2 days. My house may be a wreck... and my husband had to cook last night... but hey... it was WONDERFUL!!!!
This book is amazing. Absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I havent had a book hold my interest like this since Harry Potter!
I want another one NOW i cant wait... I laughed... I cried... I was just astonished!
"Big fan Big dissapiontment!", I love the warriors series! I own all the books and was very excied to read another book about the beloved Firestar and fill in some gaps about the second series! I chose to do this book for a project at school and once you start that book you cant change it. I begged my teacher to let me change my book but she wouldnt let me. I was stuck reading this very plotless and boring book, that remindes me of none of the other warrior books that are works of art! This book is a waste of paper. However my review will not change your mind on buying this book if you are a warrior fanatic like me. I wouldnt have belived anyone if they said this book was bad. So you will buy the book and find out how bad it is for youself!
"Bought the whole series", I bought the entire Erin Hunter Warriors series. From the first book to the last I was totally absorbed and lost in the characters. I couldn't wait to get to the end of a book to see what happened next but at the same time I hated the book to end because I felt like I was losing a friend. The characters are so life like and the story line believable even though you know it's total fantasy! I recommend this book for anyone who loves reading and getting lost in well developed characters and an amazing story.
"Two thumbs up (but if i hade more than two hands i would give it more)", Personally, i think this book is the best in the series! But its only my opinion. Firestar starts on a quest to bring back SkyClan. He is sucessful and at the end of the book we see Sandstorm with hers and Firestar's kits. It reall gives a good intro to Squirrlpaw and Leafpaw(Squirrlflight and Leafpool) and it gives a good intro to the newly named warrior Brambleclaw, although the only cats of thunderclan mentioned are Sandstorm and Firestar(plus the ancient thunderclan) Although it centers on Firestar and Sandstorm's quest and not much on the current ThunderClan cats, I think its a great book and you will NOT want to put it down!!
"Awesome ppls! must read.", I got Firestar's Quest the day it came out. I thought the cover would look more golden (it looked like that on the Internet), but that probably is the only flaw. The moment I grabbed it I opened the pages and took a sneak peek at the Prologue about the four Clans driving SkyClan out from the forest. I was glad we got to see the forest again after it being destroyed. Firestar struggles with some strange dreams and not even Cinderpelt knows the meaning of it. He and Sandstorm go on a quest to find out more about SkyClan, and meanwhile, Firestar tries to convince Sandstorm that she isn't just "second-best" to Spottedleaf. I would probably change the info on the inside cover because the fact that StarClan so-called "lied" to the Clans isn't mainly what the whole book revolves around. It's more the the Quest part (where else would the title come from?) and rebuilding SkyClan and maybe a little less romantic Firestar-Sandstorm-Spottedleaf conflict, and more battles and action. Other, it was a perfect book. I found it impossible to put down. Canaryflight

"Good but Random", I personally could not put the book down, but i do agree, it was a random plot. I mean, I thought Sandstorm was Firestars friend, not his arch enemy. I have decided that the reason it was random was because they had not planned to write it until they realized there was a gap in the plot.
If possible I would give this book 4 and 1 half stars.
"Awesome!", This is a good warriors book, but it took awhile to get started. It's a good plot and I think that Erin Hunter should make a series of super editions. I liked the whole SkyClan idea and the Firestar and Sandstorm journey but their constant fights were getting meaningless and repetitive.
"Warriors", "Today is a good day to die, but tomorrow is better. Unless, those doing the dying are six foot, mutated chipmunks with blaster rifles. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I should start at the beginning. If you ask me, the end makes a fine beginning. Things come together and things fall apart, and the fur flies a little easier with the help of a Rolling Thunderä shotgun, as long as that fur isn't mine, and I'm the one pulling the trigger. Yep, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, but I ain't Mr. Rogers."
"But, I should introduce myself, you can call me Ishmael. Just kidding, bit of classical allusion there. Call me Hobo, warrior, poet, and one fine-looking feline, that's me. See, all cats are warriors, at least at heart, and that's why I'm the best one to introduce the series, Warriors."
Warriors is a book series first published in 2003 by Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, under the pen name Erin Hunter, and introduced to me by cat and book lover Billy Waltz. The second series was written under the title Warriors: The New Prophecy. The third series, The Power of Three, and two more books, Firestar's Quest and Secrets of the Clans, are coming in 2007.
The series starts off with Into the Wild and a young "kitty pet"(house cat) name Rusty who yearns for adventure and has vivid dreams of the wilds. He meets a young feral cat, and this meeting leads to a chance to join a clan of wild cats called Thunderclan. He's renamed Firepaw and becomes an apprentice warrior. He finds himself in the middle of a tribal war with three other clans who coexist and compete for food and resources.
Allegiances are constantly shifting among the clans of warrior cats that roam the forest. With tensions so delicately balanced, former friends can become enemies overnight, and some cats are willing to kill to get what they want. Our young protagonist quickly moves from apprentice to warrior, to second-in-command, to leader of his clan. He must learn wisdom, deal with betrayal, and ultimately save his clan and the forest way of life.
The author has created an intriguing world with an intricate structure and mythology. There is intrigue, themes of loyalty, friendship and death, and an engaging young hero. The difficult life of a feral cat is described in some detail. (Oct. 16 is national feral cat day. Check out www.nationalferalcatday.org ) The cats, anthropomorphism aside, are true to their feline nature, which should delight cat and animal lovers alike. There is some violence. Some characters are killed through fighting and natural disasters, and there is treachery, betrayal and traitors, and even murder among the cats and clans, though it is crucial to the plot and not excessive.
Overall, I believe readers will find a fun-to-read series of books. Though not as elegantly written as Brian Jacques' Redwall series. The superb storytelling drew me into a realm so vivid that it could almost be real and I really came to care about the characters I found myself staying up late, with the old flashlight under the cover trick, to finish the books, and that Sand Storm sounds like a babe. Wonder what she's doing Saturday night? Hey, this cat is a fighter and a lover....

"Great book! Enjoyed every single second of it!", This book was so good. It might be the best Warriors book yet! Firestar and Sandstorm go on a long journey to recover the lost Skyclan. Along the way, they come across some problems. Even when they get there, they still have trouble. Good ending, teaches Warriors fans a lot about clans, even if they thought they knew it all. Unlike the other books in the series, this book focuses on Firestar, and Firestar alone. This book is thicker than any Redwall book, but it's fast paced, and fun to read. Good buy! -Review by Brianna Age 13
"Exactly it's name- a staring book full of fire.", The Warriors series are my favorite books. I think it is really fun to read because they talk about what we, (twolegs) do from the point of view of the cats. While what they are doing makes sence to us, it makes no sense to them. The Warrior books are also good because the author has no flaw in the way the cats live, their language and their names. Everything fits together, and the way they are writen is fantastic. The author is detailed without being boring, and you are always wondering what will happen next. The cat's religion, StarClan, is amazing. Cats die in the series, but it is never sad because they join StarClan and come back to the cats living in dreams, so they're not really gone. The Adventure in this book I liked perticularly because I loved how everything came together just like the clans in the forest. Sometimes I feel like I'm right there when I read it. I would love to be a Warriors cat, and I'm intreged by how life runs in the clans. Erin Hunter's writing even inspired me to write my own book about cats. I wish the series and books could go on forever! I will wait tensely until the next one, Dark River, comes out in December.
