What our customer's say!
"Another action-filled and emotion-packed installment in Erin Hunter's well-loved series.", As Lionpaw, Hollypaw and Jaypaw head out for the Gathering, Jaypaw is irritable. His siblings are puzzled, since this is his very first Gathering. Doesn't his urge to do everything the other cats do, in spite of his blindness, cause him to be excited about going to such an important event?
Lionpaw is definitely excited about the Gathering. He cannot wait to see Heatherpaw from the WindClan. But when he does meet up with her, he pretends not to care, disappointing Heatherpaw with his cool attitude. And when he notices how happy she is to see Jaypaw at the Gathering, Lionpaw can't help but feel jealous. Things get even more complicated when the WindClan apprentice, Breezepaw, joins them. He seems a little too familiar with Heatherpaw for Lionpaw's liking.
Lionpaw forgets about Heatherpaw, though, when RiverClan joins the Gathering. Leopardstar and all the members of her Clan do not look happy. Yet, when given the opportunity to share, Leopardstar says all is well. What is going on?
Heatherpaw suggests that she and Lionpaw meet in secret. She needs to discuss a plan she has with him. Hollypaw knows that Lionpaw is going somewhere in the night, but she doesn't know why. She's struggling with her own personal moral dilemma. There are new ShadowClan kits that are related to her. If ShadowClan and ThunderClan fight, will she have to battle her relatives? She knows that the warrior code dictates that she must be loyal to her Clan, but how can she actually hurt cats who share her own blood?
Hollypaw is also worried about Lionpaw, who is sleepy and cross. Her brother is obviously hiding something, but when she goes to Jaypaw with her concerns, he won't even discuss it with her. And although he acknowledges that something is not right with RiverClan, he isn't helpful enough to help her puzzle it out. When he says he thinks he can find out at Moonpool, the gathering of medicine cats at half-moon, Hollypaw feels concerned. Jaypaw, of course, just brushes off her worry.
Hollypaw finds Lionpaw playing with Heatherpaw in the middle of the night. She threatens to tell Brambleclaw unless the meetings stop, since the warrior code states that the cats are not to mix with other Clans. Her hints about his disloyalty infuriate Lionpaw, causing a rift between the siblings.
At Moonpool, Jaypaw has a near-drowning incident. While unconscious, he enters the RiverClan medicine cat Willowpaw's dream. In it, he learns that RiverClan is in trouble and must find a new home or they will perish. When he shares this with Leafpool, she admonishes him for spying on someone else's dreams. She urges him to tell only Firestar. Jaypaw hates keeping secrets, so he is torn about not being able to inform others in his Clan.
Jaypaw isn't the only sibling with secrets. Lionpaw has one of his own, and soon he is lying to his Clan in order to keep it. As the siblings are tried and tested, they find themselves questioning their own loyalties even as they wonder this: If RiverClan is in trouble, aren't they all?
DARK RIVER is another action-filled and emotion-packed installment in Erin Hunter's well-loved series. The many fans of Warriors will embrace it and eagerly look forward to OUTCAST, the third Power of Three book, which will be released in April.

"Superb and well done!", This is the third Warriors series and has completely lived up to my expectations! Warriors is an excellent book to try for children but can also please older children and teenagers as well. Now some people may think that Clans of Warrior cats is a silly idea but it is actually very well done so that you almost believe it's real and the characters become just like people to you...
Lionpaw, Hollypaw and Jaypaw are all apprentices in one of the four clans: Thunderclan. Lionpaw and Hollypaw are both training to be great warriors. But Lionpaw seems to be serious enough about his training to look to an evil cat for the answers and he may become a liar to his clan because of a certain friend he isn't allowed to meet with. Jaypaw is completely blind and despite the fact that he wanted to become a warrior, is stuck training to be a medicine cat. He's been seeing visions that no other medicine cats can and may be able to walk in other cats dreams.
When a group of Windclan kits go missing, Windclan jumps to conclusions and may start a war with Riverclan just because of it. These three apprentices with the help of some other brave cats must find the kits before battles break out and cats die for no good reason...
Please read this book and maybe even all of the series. They are really quite excellent and many would enjoy them!
"Daughter LOVES these books!", My daughter has read all of the first two series already and couldn't wait to get her hands on these two newest releases (we also purchased book 3 in hardcover). We are anxiously awaiting the next one, as she will probably fly right through these. Although they are not for the weak at heart due to the fights the clans have, We find these books interesting enough to hold the attention of even the most reluctant readers.
"Well Done", It was shipped fast and and exactly what I was looking, keep up the good work.
"Warriors Has Returned!", Warriors has been my all-time favorite series since I first began the Into the Wild, yet the repetitive and sometimes laborious plotlines of The New Prophecy made me think that it may be time to stop. What has urged me on? The brilliance of the newest Warriors series, Power of Three! Dark River is by far the best Warriors book since The Darkest Hour, and I'm so happy! Although The New Prophecy featured seemingly repeats of characters from the original series, Dark River is fresh and new. I am never bored by the three new protagonists (especially Jaypaw...I find his talents and defiant nature interesting and exciting!) Although Lionpaw's relationship with Heatherpaw could have been a repeat from Graystripe and Silverstream, Leafpool and Crowfeather etc., Erin Hunter made it unique by adding the underground tunnels as an engaging and ultimately terrifying meeting place for them. I have to say that I have yet to be as interested in Hollypaw's subplots, but I hope to be in future books. Lionpaw and Jaypaw are the main focus in Dark River. The true story begins as Lionpaw struggles with his feelings for the WindClan apprentice Hollypaw while Jaypaw becomes distratced from his medicine cat duties by a mysterious stick washed up from the lake covered in strange markings. Lionpaw and Heatherpaw discover a secret entrance to an underground labyrinth of tunnels through which a trickling river flows. Intrigued, they decide to meet each night in the tunnels secretly. Jaypaw is troubled by the mysteries the stick seems to hold, and frequent, unidentified voices calling out to him in his mind. Hollypaw's main subplot is her invesitigation of Lionpaw's nightly disappearances and her fear for her brother, as well as her snooping into the business of RiverClan, which has recently settled on the island because Twolegs are attacking their original camp. WindClan fears that they may try to steal their territory, and ThunderClan fears that, in turn, WindClan will steal theirs. Eventually, two WindClan kits disappear. WindClan blames ThunderClan, and launches an attack. Lionpaw and Heatherpaw know that the kits are actually in the underground tunnels, and launch a rescue mission along with Breezepaw, Jaypaw, and Hollypaw, who follow. Frequent rain has swelled the river, and the tunnels begin to flood. Jaypaw, guided by the voices of the the ancient cats who once stalked the tunnels, leads the cats to the kits. They just barely escape with their lives in a thrilling climax, ending the tensions between WindClan and ThunderClan. This amazing, unique, and clever installment is a marvelous read for any Warriors fan. I am pleased to say that I will cotinue to follow the lives of Jaypaw, Lionpaw, and Hollypaw for the next four books!

Read this reviews before You buy...
"awsome", This is a really cool book and keeps you wanting to read on I would really recomend this and all other warriors books to anyone who has a love and enjoyment of reading and cats.
"Greatest book... in the world", Dark River, I could say a million great things about it! A secret relasionship, a major ingery, and posobly a battle! I love Jaypaw! I'll be happy to read the next book just to see what HE does. But the dark tunnels, underground river, and other adventures are so real to me! Note to Erin Hunter: Keep up the good work!
"Really Great Book But Not Exactly Finished", This was an awesome book but it's not exactly "finished." It's a good book and all but it's really fast. I can't wait till #3 comes out in April.
"A Return To Writing Form", After the end of the second warriors series, i had a very sinking feeling that maybe Hunter was losing her craft. While Twilight and Sunset were good, they weren't great, and sort of laged on in the first half, only to pick up at the end. So when i heard about the new series, i was a bit hesitante. Would it prove my worst fears that maybe the Warriors books had finally worn out their welcome? With The Sight, i was pleseantly surprised to find out that wasn't so and now with Dark River, Hunter has gone back to her roots to produce her finest novel since Dawn.
Life in Thunderclan continues on as usual for Jaypaw, Lionpaw, and Hollypaw, all three working as hard as ever to prove themselves Thunderclan warriors. But all is not well. Rising conflicts between clans put everyone on edge and whispers of battle are being echoed from the youngest kit to the oldest elder, a battle that may very well wash away the uneasy truce that has held the clans together for so long.
Definently a must for all Warriors fans, that will more then likely reinvigorate the series to its former glory and will have all readers begging for the next instalment.
"A Mystery to be Uncovered", This amazing book is a must read for all Warriors fans. Jaypaw, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw are all progressing fast in their training. But now that their getting further into their training they are growing farther apart form each other. They are becoming very secretive, particularly Lionpaw, who is attracted to a pretty Windclan apprentice. But more than that, he is being visited by Tigerstar, and just as Brambleclaw was, he is interested in what Tigerstar has to teach him. Hollypaw is questioning much about what the warrior code permits and what it says is wrong. But Hollypaw has a secret as well: She knows something that could stop a war between the clans. And Jaypaw of course is his grumpy self, but it seems he is in touch with more than just Starclan. With his power he is able to uncover a century old tragedy.
But when the truth finally reveals itself to the young Thunderclan apprentices they are able to come together to prevent history from repeating itself.
